   There are now baby swings- 2 of them. Upside is a slide that doesn’t have a ladder, built into a hill. Downside is that the land has settled and there’s a big step to get onto the slide. And the steps are the opposite side of the hill so adult trying to rush down and catch the young one has to slip down the grassy muddy side. There are two benches. There is fencing entirely enclosing the space which is handy for runaways- if only people kept the gates shut. The pirate ship is fun and there’s climbing frame for older ones. There’s a sand pit which might work better in summer when it’s drier. Pretty good for a neighbourhood playground. Worth our driving 10 minutes to.

   A compact yet well-equipped playground, located within the new Calderwood residential development. Despite its size, it contains a range of new play equipment catering for all age ranges, creatively designed and arranged in an aesthetically pleasing way; this includes climbing frames, swings for babies up to older kids, as well as a sandpit. Guaranteed to keep the little ones well entertained, while the parents enjoy their well deserved "caffeine fix" from the Calderwood Cafe, which is conveniently located just round the corner!
