A fun escape room with a great host. Stan made the experience engaging, leaned into the story and really levelled up our experience. We had a great time!
We were traveling from Chicago and looked for a fun, enjoyable activity to follow up our Harry Potter tour around Edinburgh city center. This was the perfect combo! We did the Prophecies Escape Room which was such a great time! Elsa, our game master, was so welcoming and thorough- as well as a great hint giver (only when we asked of course). We didn’t get the chance to do the potions part in the tavern but it is definitely bookmarked for our return visit. 10/10 recommend for visitors and locals for fans of Harry Potter and/or escape rooms in general!
We enjoyed both rooms, and the cocktail experiences were incredibly enjoyable and delicious.
Absolutely loved the escape room experience at the Department of Magic. Our game host was super lovely and the room itself just magical. Harry Potter fans be aware of your childhood dreams being full filled. We made it with 11 minutes to spare and the time just flew. Can't wait to be back to try the other of the two rooms available.
I've done both escape rooms I would recommend looking at the difficulty first we are both good fun for all the family that was quite a good Harry Potter theme going on drinks are a bit pricey don't taste the best but an amazing experience you should try more than once very unique place not much to compare it to all the stuff for nice and and seem like enjoy thair self
Yes this is an escape room, but you can also just have a drink! We made a last minut reservation but that wasn't necessary since it was pretty quiet. But a drink! Oh my God this was amazing. Make a cocktail like you're making a potion, and it's delicious! Best cocktails we've had on this holiday. If you like Harry Potter or even just fantasy. GO
Had a fun, head scratching hour at this escape room. Perfect for children and adults alike. Our host Katie gave us just enough clues to keep us on track. Great fun!
Went here with my brother. We are two foreign adults in our twenties. We have both tried other escape rooms before. The game was perfect. Suitable difficulty for us, although we should have been one or two persons more to solve it in time. Staff/game master were engaging and professional and made the experience more fun. Easy booking on their website. Not nesessary to be familiar with the Harry Potter universe, although the concept is based on it.
We did both escape rooms and the tavern in one day! This was my favorite room of the two. The game master was enthusiastic but let us solve without giving too many hints. The potions at the tavern were really fun as well!
