I called this morning regarding an exchange and Emma was absolutely fantastic. She checked stock at several stores because they didn’t have the item at their outlet, and was only too happy to answer my questions. Excellent customer service
“Disappointing and unlawful experience at this store on 9 December 2025. Brought back a faulty Nike tracksuit (colour run and pilling after one wash) with receipt. Deputy Manager Josh (staff code 0095) refused to inspect it at all, repeatedly saying ‘we can’t accept washed items as we can’t resell them’ – which is against Consumer Rights Act 2015. Both he and the female till colleague laughed and were openly mocking/dismissive (continued smirking when challenged). The next day, another JD store inspected it in seconds and gave full cash refund – proving the fault was obvious. Raised formal complaint to Customer Champions; they misrepresented events and closed investigation without proper review. Avoid this branch – poor staff training and customer treatment. 1 star.”
I went to JD today, and the person who served me was very rude. I felt looked down on just because I said I didn’t want to pay 40p for a bag. I was even called 'poor' and 'crazy' for not wanting to pay for it, which was extremely disrespectful.
Went in to buy two pairs of trainers however, when we went in we were ignored. Nobody was in their zones and they were all gathered around till laughing on their phones and comparing nail colors to shoes. As a person that has worked at JD Sports, this is really disappointing to see and management definitely needs to have a word with them. We were looking to buy two pairs of trainers but ended up leaving without buying anything as we waited for a while and no one checked on us.
Today I went to JD and there were 4 staff members 3 women and 1 man. One of the women was at the till, but she was extremely slow. The man was in the shoe section, and the other two women were just standing near another till, constantly chatting and laughing with each other. We waited for over 10 minutes and no one ever apologised for the delay. The staff were unprofessional, very slow, and seemed completely uninterested in helping customers. I’m extremely disappointed with the service. I will never return to the JD in high chelmer, and I definitely won’t recommend it to anyone.

Really good customer service. I needed to return some footwear in hope I'd be able to exchange for one size bigger, unfortunately the size I needed was out of stick but the customer assistant did a straight refund and ordered my crocs for delivery.
Branch Presentation: 4.5/5. Choice of shoes: 4/5. Service 5/5 from Bradley who had multiple people asking questions at once. He communicated well and still had a personal service with each pair of shoes despite multiple requests. His knowledge on the best shoe for my needs was also great. Vibe 4/5: great music. A step up on enthusiasm from the rest of the team would be great.
The manager Olivia is a completely job worth and speak to people so rudely and should never be a manger would never be shopping in that again
Sells trainers amongst other things, lots of trainers, lots of customers, three staff. Worth it if you have the patience of a saint, I'm not sure how the staff don't go mad, they were kind and considerate if possibly a little embarrassed.
