A big thank you to all the Staff in A&E, MAU, and Ward 21 for the high quality of care and expertise given during my stay from the 28th - 31st Dec 2025. Extremely hard working Staff and all really cheery. Again all my deepest thanks. Special thanks to Staff Nurses Sam, Tracy and Jade x

I was admitted to St Johns Ear, Nose and Throat Department on Christmas Eve and was in on Christmas Day as well. Everyone I met was friendly, incredibly professional and welcoming. My operation was completed on Christmas Day and I got home to enjoy some time with my family. Wonderful people, thank you for everything....

When in Edinburgh to catch a flight in the afternoon, we urgently needed to be seen in the morning and went to St. John's. We had been advised that there is quite some waiting time but from the start we were treated very nicely and friendly. Once informed that we were hoping to get on that flight later on, Nurse Lynn spoke to a specialist by the name of Sharon, who was available in no time and looked after us in the nicest possible way. Everyone tried their best helping us in the limited time we had but with all required professionalism. Sharon quickly organised a slot for a scan, as well as a room for us to wait for the results, where we got offered coffees & teas by the nurses. Everyone was just so lovely and caring, and this wee review is just us trying to express our gratitude.

I just got out today after nearly a week . The staff/ nurses that look after me were brilliant. I had a really bad time and was ill. The surgeon operated on me 3 times. I was on ward 18 and every single member of staff were brilliant. Really looked after. From the domestic nurses surgeon were all brilliant. Work under so much pressure. Thank you

The pediatric dental ward is brilliant, staff are amazing they go above and beyond with kids who have dentist anxiety, making the dentist a good experience rather than something to be feared. My 10 year old now has less fear going there always a helpful team & always smiling.

Review for A&E. Initially it was quite quick for me to see a nurse but I had a long wait to see the other Nurses. Probably around 2 hours. But on saying that when I did see the two nurses who catered for me, they were really great. They were very caring, gave me full tests to check I was okay, they seemed to genuinely care and that was lovely. The tests were thorough and they made sure everything was okay with me before I could leave. It was 4-5am in the morning and they still had smiles on their faces. Thank you for a great service! Thankyou NHS.

The best hospital I have had a pleasure to be in. I had a couple of appointments and then a scheduled surgery on the 29th December. Imagine people are on holidays and the NHS angels are saving lives when most of people are off from work. I have seen many things which were very concerning in some NHS facilities but not here. That was the most clean, tidy, organised and most helpful healtcare venue I ever been to. The nurses and doctors very professional and you could have a fantastic chat with them as well as other patients waiting for their procedures. I wish to every hospital in Scotland to look and work like them. Great example of how this should look and work like. Great experience!

My baby girl was born end of June this year by an elected Caesarean and the staff were absolutely amazing. Very professional, informative and caring. They couldn’t do enough for us. And most importantly they delivered my baby safely. The staff are outstanding and deserve more than a medal. Thank you to every one of them! I know you’ll keep up the good work! ❤️❤️
