Always manage to get an appointment here, and sometimes even on the day! If I get an appointment a week or so in advance, I would also receive a reminder text the day before. I'm also glad that they open till late for those of us that work on-site full time.

Manager loves the sounds of her own voice she thinks sheβs in charge of the NHS registration system, terrible attitude wouldnβt recommend this practise because of this worker. Needs looked into as I donβt think sheβs fit to work here and serve the people who pay her wages.

I registered here last week. They have a culture of abuse. I will have to make an appointment with a 3rd GP having been abused by two already. The admin manager sought to deny me an appointment and did so only with risk of police being called. A culture of abuse. Update: the 3rd GP I met is a partner of the practice meaning responsible for the practice. Same total disrespect and abuse. She incidentally specialises in βsex therapyβ. I shall clarify the admin manager abuse. I had just registered at the practice. She hadnβt any information good or bad which might have prejudiced her against me in particular. She dealt with me as she would on meeting anyone anew. She denies you access to healthcare employing abuse tactics. After several phone calls I said that I have the right to healthcare. She responded saying βrhy, rhy, what are you saying?β laughing and imparting the fear that she would hang up the phone again. The intention is to make you resign. Extremely pernicious. I then said that I have a right to healthcare and that I would call the police if she continued to prevent it. I imparted the conviction that I meant it. She then did what she is supposed to do.

Definetely the worst service that I had in Edinburgh. They are roud, showing zero flexibility when booking appointments and most of the times they book me with students rathen than real doctors who only provide advice rather than prescription. The reception people are extremely roud. Wish I could change practice.

This used to be a very good surgery. It has served me well for a great number of years. Never once did I have an issue or had to make a complaint .Unfortunately, the older generation of doctors had to retire. That's when it started to go downhill rapidly. It's so bad now that the new generation can only be described as playing at doctors and nurses. I don't think anyone has told them that it is the real world now. I have issue after issue after issue. It's neverending. To go into detail would take too long, and my life is too short. As for waiting times, well, you would be better to bring your sleeping bag. If you are late or, god forbid, miss an appointment, you will get your card marked, but there don't seem to be any repercussions for the length of time you have to wait. Need medication, you may get this reply " haven't you got your own". I have lost all confidence in this surgery and the people within. For anyone thinking of joining. If you are after a uncaring unempathetic shower of quacks that are more concerned at penny pinching than they are your health then this is the place for you. However if you value your health then my advice would be to RUN FOR THE HILLS. Congratulations by the way on being voted one of the worst surgeries in Edinburgh. As a footnote, practice manager. Well, there are two definitions of practice here. I will leave it up to you to decide which one I chose.

I contacted them few times and everything was smooth. The line is busy some times middle of the week. Staffs are nice and patient.

The best GP practice Iβve ever been registered at. Great reception staff, very helpful and kind GPs and nursing staff. No comparison to many poor previous GP experiences Iβve had over the last decade. Thanks to the whole team at Gilmore.

Always able to get a same day appointment from the lovely reception staff, usually face to face and both the GPs and Alison the nurse are both kind, helpful and proactive.

One of the doctors (doctor barker) is brilliant and is the only reason I am still registered at this GP. If you can't handle rude reception staff though, 100% avoid as there has been multiple mornings I have phoned over 50 times and had absolutely no response whatsoever. Not only that but the reception staff make you feel as though you're disturbing them by phoning or coming in for an appointment, why are none of them at all willing to help?? The amount of times I have been talked down to on the phone by them is disgraceful and if it wasn't for the doctor I see being so great I would not still be going here.
