We were their yesterday, I was buying for my grandsons wedding and another wedding next year, the lady who helped us was fantastic, bless her she had a arm full of clothes, but I left with 2 fabulous top/ dress. Thank you so much for your patience and help.
I recently visited the Yate branch of what seems to be a lovely boutique clothing shop for ladies. However, I found that they seem to lack an understanding of consumer law. My partner tried on a jumpsuit in the store, and it fit her perfectly. It was labeled as a "one size" item. The following day, I decided to buy another jumpsuit in a different color as a gift for her. Unfortunately, when she tried it on at home later that day, it was considerably larger than the first one we purchased. I returned the second jumpsuit, and a sales assistant checked another one in stock. She noted that the jumpsuit I was returning was significantly larger than the one in stock, so she exchanged it without any fuss. However, when my partner tried on the third jumpsuit, it was still far too big. Today, we went back to the shop while the owner was present. Since they had no more jumpsuits in stock, I requested a refund. At that point, the situation changed. The owner refused to issue a refund, stating that I could only receive a credit note. I explained that the jumpsuits were clearly not fit for purpose, as one fit perfectly while the next two were noticeably larger, despite all having the same label and size. When I challenged her regarding consumer law, she bluntly refused to consider my request, claiming it was against company policy. She then called security, accusing me of being a bully when all I wanted was my money back, which, according to consumer law, I am fully entitled to.
Bought 3 tops and a beautiful handbag. Great variety, love the different combinations of colours and patterns. Any other shops?
Lovely clothing for women who want something that is comfortable and elegant. Help always on hand offering ideas and guidance. I love this shop, really worth a visit.
I bought a jumpsuit from here last week for £30 and when I got it home I tried it on and took the tag off, but the plastic whisker was through the middle of 2 layers so it made a hole in the fabric. I went to take it back today and the assistant was rude to me and refused to take back the faulty item. She claimed the jumpsuit was damp (which it wasn't) and didn't smell like the ones on the rack. I told her I put it straight in a bag with the tag after I pulled it off, and it has been sat in my house until transferring it to the car today to drive to the shop. She said she "wasn't convinced" by me and thought I had washed it. I hadn't, which I told her, but I also said if I had it wouldn't matter anyway, because washed or not it would still be faulty. Which she wouldn't accept. She even said she could see why it had the hole and that it was obviously from the whisker being put through only 1 layer, so I'm not sure why she was arguing with me but she refused to give me a refund or replacement and said I would have to come back in on Wedneday (go out of my way again and waste more time and petrol) to speak to the boss. So I left upset and when I walked past again a few minutes later, I could hear her on the phone defaming me to (presumably) "the boss". Regret spending any money in here which was obviously more important to them than repeat custom and customer satisfaction. I obviously wont be shopping here again and will advise others to avoid as well.
