I went in here to enquire for a space for my little girl to attend in future for a pre school session. Karen Green, the manager is who I bumped into at the door entrance of the classroom. During our first contact, I instantly smiled at her, however she looked back at me in my headscarf, in disgust. I noticed her reaction instantly but continued to smile. As I went closer to her, she said ‘can I help?’, I then replied yes and that I am interested to find out about their preschool sessions. She interrupted me whilst I was asking a question and rudely spoke over me and said ‘we have no spaces here, okay you can let yourselves out’ she then made a face for me to leave. I was extremely taken back by this attitude. I then replied that I was interested to know what age groups this class covers incase I want to apply in the future. Karen Green then rudely made it clear they had no spaces now and would not do in future. In this moment, it was very clear that this woman is islamaphobic. She was focused on my headscarf and it was obvious she had judged me, just based on my appearance and this was the outcome of her attitude toward me. I decided at this point I was wasting my time speaking to this woman. As I was leaving I asked for her name to which she replied Karen Green. Overall, my experience with this woman was very shocking, considering it is a preschool setting, it is frightening how even some teachers are racist and islamaphobic. I truly hope this rude; unprofessional, bitter woman is exposed, as she is not fit to work in education or with children of different races or backgrounds clearly, as she is prejudice. If she treated me like this on first encounter, then it is worrying to think how she would treat children in her presence, when alone. I hope Ofsted takes note of this, or others who have had a similar experience to report her.

Wonderful nurturing local preschool with fantastic staff to child ratio. My son has grown in confidence and ability during the months he has spent at the school. The staff are not only very experienced and professional but are all mothers themselves and clearly genuinely care about the children. My son loves the school and looks forward to each session. The small scale of the preschool means that it offers a real home from home experience. The setting lacks a large outdoor space but has access to a huge hall space where children play, exercise and do a wide range of activities. The school is great on parent communication and there is a real sense of community among the families who attend. Highly recommended.
