Booked with Marc in Barrhead for a trip to Dubai, the hotel he helped pick and the whole trip was absolutely amazing. The service from him has been so good, quick replies to any emails and a very personalised service which I’ve really appreciated. Couldn’t recommend a better travel agent to anyone!
I have used Barrhead Travel many times when booking holidays. I was in again on Thursday 12th and met Jackie Wilson, who assisted my sister and I to book a cruise. Our needs and wants were many, with a limited budget. As often happens, we ended up going a bit over budget, but were very happy with the service. It's fair to say that we took up, probably, most of Jackie's day, but she was super-helpful, and tried her utmost, looking at loads of options to make sure we were happy. I always find the staff in Dunfermline very accommodating, and would highly recommend them if you are looking to book a holiday without the stress of trawling through myriads of websites yourself. 14 weeks and counting :-)))
We’ve booked a few holidays via Barrhead Dunfermline. They’re extremely knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble, and they take the time to help us find the perfect holiday within our budget! Leigh-Ann, the manager, is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
I have just booked a bespoke rail trip to Canada with the assistance of Jackie Wilson. I was really impressed by the service I received from Jackie. Having originally booked a trip I had, due to personal circumstances, rebook on different dates and Jackie could not have been more understanding. When booking my trip it was clear that Jackie was exceptionally knowledgeable about Canada and made a number of helpful suggestions which I included in my final itinerary. Jackie was a pleasure to deal with and would highly recommend.
Barrhead travel staff, allowed me and my fiancee to have a great holiday, and they help you in any way they can. On the day at the airport is was told my return flight was cancelled, so called Barrhead travel, he told me to go and enjoy your holiday that he would sort it, and had no problems on my return. So a big thankyou to all at Barrhead travel, I highly recommend Barrhead travel for piece of mind when booking your holiday. Will not go past Barrhead for future holidies thankyou.
I have used Barrhead in Dunfermline for years. I will not be using them again! The poor organisation, lack of information and the fact that we had to do a great deal of research ourselves had left me feeling that a very expensive holiday was way more stressful than it should have been. All information wasn't shared at booking. Car rental wasn't booked properly, costing a great deal of money and time when we landed. Confusion over booking with Virgin by using a 3rd party company meant we could choose the seats we wanted. This meant my husband and son had a very uncomfortable trip. Tours included in our trip, but there was no information on how to book these on our holiday. We had to go and chase up the paper work, no email had been sent to say the documents had arrived.
Seem to be that if you have a complaint and take it to dunfermline branch they are not going to help you, only interested if it's a sale. Please don't call because their customer service staff can't reply to your problem for eating a ice lolly when answering your call.
Phoned Barhead travel first thing on Monday morning,gave them all our particulars on the cruise we wished to book ,phoned them today (Wednesday)to ask why nobody had got back to me only to be told that the person that was dealing with it was on his days off. So much for trying to support a Scottish company, never again.
Never have I dealt with such incompetent staff who lie through their teeth for a sale. Worse than Arnold Clark dealerships. Been lied to by two members of staff about a holiday I'd booked and when I requested to speak to a manager about this I had a very patronising lady come tell me I was lying, and her staff don't know any better about the agents they book. Absolute disgrace. The assistant manager wouldn't even listen to what the problem was, far too busy sticking up for her best pals.
