   I would like to compliment my opponent Ewan McGillivray on an additional support needs case, I was the independent advocate representing the appellant parent. He was the legal director representing his client, a local authority in an ASN tribunal case. Mr McGillivray protected and advocated for his client's interests, was reasonable and non-adversarial and due to both parties doing everything possible to narrow the issues in dispute, we were able to achieve a settlement that was in the best interests of both parties. Mr McGillivray is an excellent, committed solicitor who did a good job for his client and used his expertise to help negotiate a settlement that was acceptable to both parties and both parties got to walk away from proceedings with satisfaction that justice was done properly.
