One of the most unhelpful people I’ve encountered answered my general enquiry call earlier today. It appeared to be an inconvenience that she was required to answer the phone from the offset, curt tone, unhelpful manner and really not what I was expecting from my first contact with the service! Disappointed.
Been homeless for 13 months sleeping rough on the streets soon as I phoned govan law Alexander Donnelly took my case and got the north east homeless team to accommodate me in a proper hotel, I'm now closer to getting my own tenancy cant thank the guy enough I'd still be sleeping rough if not for him
Govan Law Centre accepted my case several months ago, since then I have not one face to face meeting. Anytime they asked me to provide documents or information I did so immediately, I informed them of all my background issues and they were also dealing with another organisation that was supposed to be helping me. However the other organisation and Govan Law Centre have done nothing except stress me out, now they have said that I have not been truthful with them and said they can not represent me - Total farce of an organisation.
Yeah, I agree with the other two reviews. (I was the third reviewer). The receptionist had me with my heart in my throat. 8 years later, still going through the same shit. That receptionist is PTSD to me to this very day. The absolute vile, disgusting abuse she screamed at me still haunts me to the very day.
Couldn’t help us but still listened, really fast responses and friendly service. I would use again if needed

I have called them many times Only option to leave a message they never call back.
Do not bother phoning them. The woman that answered the phone was really rude and abusive. She spoke to me as if I was uneducated and stupid. She told me that it was my fault that I am in the mess that I am in. If you want help then don't go to them. They are worse than useless.
Treated terribly!! Put in a complaint about how I was treated and let down but my complaint was not taken seriously or investigated properly. I received an almost arrogant response from a senior solicitor who closed the complaint down without allowing me to respond...The complaint has now gone to the Legal Aid Board!! I am gutted as I thought this was a valuable service, not the case, treated like dirt and made a stressful situation even more stressful!
