I was desperate for some wide legged trousers and Julie H couldn't do enough to help me. It was a hot day i was getting tired and then I saw her wearing the trousers I wanted! I grabbed her and said I want that style trouser. We couldn't get my size - I'm petite - but I am really happy with my purchase. Thank you Julie H
It appears the staff (largely fresh-out-of-uni graduates with far too much time on their hands and far too little real-world sense) decided they’d found the criminal mastermind of the week: me. While I waited outside the store for my partner, they proceeded to scurry around inside, peering over balconies and following her for ten minutes like they were extras in a boring spy film. Eventually, they decided to confront me, only to sheepishly backtrack when I (politely) explained I hadn’t stolen anything. No apology, mind you, just a vague, “Oh, I believe you,” followed by continued gawking like I was some sort of spectacle. Their grand “evidence”? That I’d used one of their own “use me for your shopping” bags (after asking, and explaining) because my own was splitting from the weight of a long day’s errands. I even returned the bag in plain sight. Yet, somehow, this warranted a store-wide manhunt and a healthy dose of public embarrassment. Let me make something very clear: I wouldn’t steal from Next. I wouldn’t even accept their mass-produced, made-in-China tat if it were offered to me for free. Frankly, I could 3D print better quality items at home. Safe to say, I won’t be back. And neither, I suspect, will my partner. Consider this a free lesson in how not to treat your customers.
I was excited to see they stock bath and body works products.. yet there weren’t any prices on anything? Only a vague list on the wall stating ‘body mists x amount’ but there were different sizes so surely a small mist wouldn’t be the same as a large? I left dissapointed. Rest of next was massively overpriced.
Having a nice day though we will stop for a coffee not impressed with the bins over flowing the sides very untidy and milk on the floor next to the bin it don't look very good to see this over the counter
I've always had a pleasant shopping experience at this store, until sadly today. I visited with the view of returning an item that was incorrectly sent following an online order (understanding mistakes can be made), for my account to be refunded and then to pay again in full for the item I actually ordered. I left without purchasing the item again as there was no initial apology from the staff member on behalf of Next as a company for the inconvenience caused, until I promoted them. Good customer service is always to initially apologise.
Next at home opened on its new site just west of Marsh Mills retail park. Now on two floors including Costa Coffee, Paperchase and Virgin Holidays. We visited in December and found the covid controls to be excellent, limiting customers going in, clear social distancing controls and signage and hand sanitiser stations everywhere. Typical Next layout with home, lighting, furnishings and clothing departments.

Good atmosphere with a very welcoming coffee bar. Very difficult to order blinds so we ended up buying them at Dunelm and Rogers.
'Next Home' in Marsh Mills Plymouth is a smart stylish and spacious store with helpful and polite staff. This store is soon to be closing as it is moving into the brand new and massive 'Next Retail' store nearby and currently nearing completion. We were there in January 2019 so the move may well have happened already. The new store will carry an extensive range, a coffee shop and a small number of concessions. Exciting times!
