   My nieces attend chennestone and both have been bullied very badly. And both by children who's parents are teachers or teachers assistants. And not only physical abuse but racist abuse too from children who are obviously learning that from home and bringing it to school. Not a lot is being done about it clearly as it continues to happen time and time again. Stop ignoring the bullying problem you have and deal with it.

   I would like to praise Chennestone on how it has supported my daughter though her transition from Beauclerc infant school to the yr 3 juniors. She was very apprehensive at first but now she feels confident and happy, had made lovely new friends and has learnt a great deal since the beginning of term! I would also like to say that my daughter had an awful incident of bullying at Beauclerc Infant school and it was dealt with swiftly and competently by the headmistress who is also the head of Chennestone. As a parent I feel informed and I trust this school to do a great job of caring and educating my daughter to the highest standard.

   Chennestone is one of those schools that has managed to somehow get an Good OFSTED rating when it is in no way deserving of it. The staff, especially those in the reception/infants are demotivated, and come across as grumpy. The headteacher is very defensive and does not take complaints seriously. Incidents of bullying (as have been mentioned in other reviews) are denied and the bully policy is not followed. It is a shame, because the school could be lovely place, instead it comes across as a grumpy, mean spirited place. There are a great many other schools in Sunbury which could be considered before looking at Chennestone.
