Harrow School was founded in 1572 under a Royal Charter granted by Queen Elizabeth I. It is located in a leafy 300-acre estate, encompassing much of Harrow on the Hill in north-west London. As stewards of many cherished traditions, today’s Harrovians follow in the footsteps of The Giants of Old, united by strength of character, lasting friendships and the desire to be of good influence. A full-boarding school for boys aged 13-18

We went to the open day to mark the 450th anniversary of Harrow School. It was so lovely to see the public use all the usually closed off areas on Harrow on the Hill. It’s a shame the school doesn’t organise this sort of event more often. I lived in Harrow for over 20 years and have never seen such a buzz. Hence the 4 stars. This should be a yearly or bi-yearly event for the wider community.

So much history, heritage and some unbelievable views of London all guaranteed. In addition there and some lovely small cafes- perfect place for a day out when it is nice and sunny!
