   I knew ICE was where I wanted to learn to fly from my first introductory coffee (and weather-aborted trial flight) with Neil. Their holistic attitude to training, and the instructors' ability to tailor approaches to suit the needs of the individual student really stood out from day 1. I can thoroughly recommend training with different instructors along your journey, and I have to personally thank every member of the ICE team for providing a particular insight or viewpoint on a given hurdle I was facing which helped it to "click" for me - whether a technical flying problem, or a confidence issue along the way. They have helped me qualify for my PPL(H) feeling "able to fly" rather than "able to pass the test". Somehow ICE manage to hit the sweet spot of a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home with the staff and other students even as a complete newbie, while still maintaining the "we've got this" professionalism that conveys the sense of safety and security you want as a beginner!

   I was very impressed by Ice Helicopters from the moment I called them to the execution of the lesson for my grandson. Charlotte was friendly and efficient and Neil the pilot was brilliant; a calm professional together with being friendly.    I recently completed my Private Pilot Licence (PPL) at this fantastic helicopter training school in London, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.    I recently completed my initial helicopter training at ICE Helicopters and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The training centre is located in a picturesque area and the facilities are well-maintained and modern. The instructors are highly experienced and knowledgeable, and they made sure that I was well-prepared for my flights. I trained in an R22 Robinson Helicopter, which was in great condition and a joy to fly. My instructor, Ewen, was extremely patient and supportive, and made sure that I was comfortable with the controls and confident in my flying abilities. I also completed my Type Rating in an R44 Robinson Helicopter, which was a challenging but rewarding experience. The training program at ICE Helicopters is comprehensive and well-structured, with a focus on safety and precision. Ewen provided me with detailed feedback after each flight, which helped me to identify areas for improvement and work on my weaknesses. Overall, I would highly recommend ICE Helicopters to anyone who is interested in helicopter training.    I am a little biased but I decided to take the step and do a night rating. The team at Ice led by Neil Day have approached it with long term safety in mind but also ensured that I learned at my pace. The ten hours of instrument flying that I did with Phil really sharpens up your general handling and now I am half way through the night portion with Jack who is fantastic to learn with. Next to the USA for my FAA ticket.
