   I have been a student at DiscoG Coding Academy for 8 years, and it has been such an incredible journey. The atmosphere is truly homely, making it a place where you not only learn, but also feel genuinely supported. Thanks to Gerard's expertise and guidance, I achieved a perfect 70/70 in my Computer Science A-level coursework, which contributed to 20% of my overall grade. Gerard's many years of experience shine through in his teaching, making even the most complex of concepts understandable. Kat adds a vibrant energy to the classes, making each session exciting and engaging. What sets DiscoG apart is that it's more than just a place to learn how to code -- it's a true mentorship experience. Gerard and Kat have guided me not only in coding but also in life skills, by encouraging me to explore the parallels between Classics and Computer Science, for instance. Their dedication to their students' growth is unparalleled, and I cannot recommend DGCA enough. If you're looking for a place that nurtures both your coding skills and personal development, DGCA is the place to be. I write this review in sadness at the realisation that weekly classes for me have ended as I now move onto university, but I am reminded of the incredible students at DGCA, whose passion and creativity make me hopeful for the future of coding. I’m excited to see the next generation of coders and pioneers thrive, and I look forward to visiting often and contributing to this ever-growing community.

   I have been a student at DiscoG Coding Academy for around 10 years, and I can confidently say it has been an incredible journey. The academy has provided me with an excellent foundation in coding and computer science, contributing significantly to my predicted A* in A-level Computer Science. Kat and Gerard, the instructors, are exceptionally knowledgeable and approachable. Their teaching methods are clear, effective, and always infused with enthusiasm. They are genuinely nice people who go out of their way to help students grasp complex concepts and excel in their studies. Their support and guidance have been invaluable throughout my time at DiscoG. DiscoG Coding Academy is a fantastic place for anyone looking to dive deep into the world of coding and computer science. I highly recommend this academy to anyone interested in pursuing a career in tech or simply looking to enhance their coding skills.

   Disco G Coding Academy is an amazing place to learn not only how to code for school, but how to code for life. Gerard and Kat are truly amazing at teaching and have a wealth of resources and knowledge. They’ve helped me learn computer science throughout my A-Levels and GCSEs, and the lessons have been a perfect mix of fun and informative. I would 100% recommend sending your child here, regardless of age or ability, as this academy sets you up for all the computer science skills you will need in life.

   I would highly recommend DiscoG regardless if your a master at coding, or are really interested to learn how to code from scratch. Since joining in 2017 Kat and Gerrard were nothing but helpful and were kind. They loved to add that element of fun to coding which made the journey so enjoyable. They have helped me achieve an A in GCSE Computer Science and I have recently achieved 70/70 on my A Level Coursework. Kat and Gerrard are always willing to help and love to see their students thrive as demonstrated by the countless amount of students that have left DiscoG with all the knowledge to go and succeed. An amazing and friendly environment to learn, I cannot recommend them enough.

   It's a shame that the rating is limited to 5 stars because in my view Gerard and Kat's quality of teaching, commitment and dedication to their students journeys far exceeds the 5 stars. My daughter began her Computer Science GCSE journey with Gerard slightly on the back foot with limited coding experience having only done holiday classes at Disco G. Gerard and Kat supported her with every tool and facility they could to develop her practical experience to prepare for the GCSE she has now taken a year early. The teaching of the course was also very structured and Gerard had regular checkpoints with the students and parents too on progress, areas of strength and areas where additional focus was needed. In summary, teaching was great, communication with students and parents was superb and my daughter actually misses the rapport with Gerard, Kat and the rest of her class. I cant recommend Disco G highly enough!

   My daughter started coding with Gerard at the end of year 5 and absolutely loved it. Gerard was patient and great with kids. He had guided my daughter all the way to year 10 and helped her achieved a 9 in iGCSE Computer Science. A year early! Gerard is a wonderful teacher so is his daughter. I will not hesitate in recommending DiscoG Coding Academy!

   Both of our daughter's have been part of the Disco G Coding Academy from it's inception over a couple of years ago. Gerard and Kat are excellent teachers and SMEs in Python. We've seen our daughters' excel at coding through the expert support from both Gerard and Kat. Disco G is a community coding academy and we can't recommend them enough. It's been a wonderful experience and a great pleasure to see the work which Disco G Coding academy is providing to a new generation of children as we all adapt to a technology driven society.

   Being a teacher myself I can say that DiscoG's approach and methodology to teaching the children is excellent. The national curriculum and schools in general still haven't grasped how to do this and could learn so much from Gerard. But don't wait, join DiscoG and set your child up for success - you won't regret it! We've tried a few classes and many others pop up each and every day, but Gerard has had a lifelong commitment to coding and technology and I'm sure he will outlast them all, as one thing which sets him apart is his passion, commitment and determination to give the best to our children.    Having worked in tech myself for many years, tried teaching my own daughter and volunteering in coding clubs too, I can say hand on heart, this DiscoG is by far the most advanced, most superior and most forward looking club and organisation I have experienced. Gerard and Kat are not simply teaching coding, but a future proof mindset, which is setting up the children for the working world, which will be far different from the one which currently exists. I can't recommend DiscoG enough. It's a family run place, which gives you the intimacy and one to one care, which you can't get in most places. Above all Gerard knows what he's doing, investing in him, is investing in your child, is investing in their future. I literally can't wait to see our child blossom though DiscoG and look forward to the terms and years ahead. Keep up the great work DiscoG!
