Now I am going to say a lot here, and try be as honest as I can. I am currently attending for your information. It is a truly brilliant school. A wide range of co-curricular activities that do nothing but benefit you. The homework levels are very manageable, but there will be certain occasions and teachers that set more than others. Sporting events, there is not a lot to say besides the numerous events that the school offers for you and classmates to work together to provide the most effective result possible. People say it is run down, but it is not the truth at all, it looks perfectly fine to me, and rarely a lack of resources. A vast majority of practical lessons for all 3 sciences. The only downside to the school is that your confidence may not be the best at the start. It happened to me. I thought that everyone else may just be better than me in general. But this was not the case in the end. Once you get into the mindset that you are not inferior to anyone there, your confidence will only go up. Brilliant school, and I have no issues with it, I am proud to attend it. PER ARDUA AD SUMA!

I went there when it was called Wallington High School for Boys and when only one boy in the entire school lived outside the borough, unlike now when most boys commute in. I enjoyed my time at the school, especially the sixth form, where I forged friendships that are still going strong today. Today's school is very different to the one that I attended. It now comes across as results driven and that league tables are more important than actually educating the pupils. One boy, when I was there, was 21 when he finally finished in the sixth form, because he repeated a year on more than one occasion. I can't see that happening today.

Absolutely phenomenal school. My brother just started y7 and has had a change in attitude. This a good school for your child.

This is a very good grammar school for boys. Girls may be admitted in the 6th form (year 12 & 13 ). You have a higher chance of admission if you live 2miles from the school. Sixth Form admissions criteria is much higher than other schools. Teachers are very friendly and helpful.

My son has been at Wallington since year seven and has just moved into the sixth form. I do not understand the negative reviews I read and can only assume that they are not genuine. My son has been extremely happy at this school, coming out with a big bunch of A star grades, but more importantly as a kind, thoughtful and well mannered person, who is confident and secure in himself. WCGS is a special school, which gets the balance just right. I cannot recommend it enough.
