My first experience here was excellent. I called for an emergency appointment for my son and my doctor was amazing. The staff were great and really helpful. Today was completely different. I called at 9:36 a.m. to book an appointment for my 9-month-old son, Issa Khan, and spoke to a RECEPTIONIST who was rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in helping. She sighed, huffed, and acted as if I was bothering her. She kept asking why I couldn’t fill out an online application, which I had never even been told about. If there are forms that need to be filled in, there is a professional way to explain that to someone. In that moment I needed to book an appointment for my son, which is why I called and I didn’t get one. It’s unacceptable for someone working in such an important place, especially when dealing with tired and worried parents, to speak like that. I was told someone would call me back about my son’s appointment but no one has. Someone should really review how this RECEPTIONIST speaks to patients over the phone. I’m still waiting’s

Really disappointing experience since switching to this GP. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, and communication around my repeat prescription was awful. I was told my medication was ready — only to be turned away because the summary from my old GP (sent months ago!) wasn’t “sufficient.” No one had bothered to tell me this earlier: I had to get an emergency prescription elsewhere, and when I ran out of that, I became ill. When I finally got it after sending them the same evidence I sent months ago, it felt begrudgingly given. The whole process was stressful and poorly handled — I felt completely let down by the practice.

Literally the worst experience I have had with a doctor’s surgery. Admin/Reception staff are rude, show no empathy and no manners. Why does the management let them speak to patients like this? If I could leave 0 stars I would. If you are thinking of joining, do yourself a favour and DON’T!! Go literally anywhere else. You will have a better experience.

Actually the worst doctors I’ve ever attended. They have completely and utterly failed me. Then kicked me out for challenging them during a mental break down. They were well aware of my mental state and I had just been diagnosed and was very sick it autoimmune disorder. I am now doing better thanks to silverburn medical practice. They have managed to sort my health issues help with my mental health and get me on a long road to recovery. I am also being tested now for neurodivergence which should have been picked up and addressed at this surgery as they were given plenty of information. I will be coming for you guys legally. Katie the head receptionist is a liar and highly incompetent has absolutely no empathy or understanding of her position. Avoid like the plague. Because if you had the plague this lot would write you off. Only person I cannot fault at this surgery is the link worker Ollie. The rest of you should be ashamed of yourselves

This is the worst reception I have ever experienced at any GP practice in Glasgow. The staff seem only interested in ending the call quickly instead of patiently helping, and they are not good at dealing with different kinds of people, especially vulnerable individuals. They have the worst appointment system and show zero empathy.

Once upon a time this docter practice was the best.. when dr osbourne was there.. but now far too many trainee doctors who don’t have a clue and just want to sign that paper and give you antibiotics… recently I had bad experience.. I had a cyst on my back and was in pain.. they gave me a traine docter who did not spot this.. a had to go back in and more senior docter rectify the problem thank god and sent me hospital straight away….28 years at this practice too

I have been a patient at this practice for many years and am extremely happy with staff and doctors, but I am not happy with this new phone in system and the online form you need to fill out before even getting a call back, what happened to speaking to reception and then they make an appointment to see doctor, it's not an accident and emergency department at a hospital we are going to. It's becoming to detached from patients to doctors. It's far too stressful an endeavour now

Appalling surgery. I heard the receptionists criticising me in the background when I had the “audacity” to ask a question via telephone. Jumped-up nasty receptionists. One particularly stuck-up doctor who has now left was particularly unpleasant. These people don’t care about their patients at all.

I have been a patient with this surgery for six months and I am forced to look for another surgery now following various bad experiences. They seem to be unable to retain staff. This leads to constant confusion at the reception desk because often the person your speaking to is clueless. They mixed up my prescriptions several times. Even when I've sent the details in writing through their online request form. (Which is often not working as they seem to be having lots of issues with their website.) The reception staff are rude and unhelpful. Generally treat you as an annoyance that must be tolerated. You usually won't see a doctor, but a Nurse. Who will see you, then tell you to sod off, and they'll speak to the doctor and then they'll call you back. I swear to God. I had one nurse trying to get blood out of my arm, after three times she told me to go away and make another appointment for someone else to try another day! I've tried to give them a chance to see if things improve, but at this point think it's time to move on.

In spite of the unimaginable pressures the GP practice must be under I feel they have adapted well to the pandemic. I've still received prompt and excellent care - I filled in the online form and had a face to face appointment soon after. The Dr took my symptoms and concerns seriously and I felt listened too. Some of the negative comments below are unfair and clearly written by people with personality issues who don't understand why the NHS has had to adjust to extremely challenging circumstances.
