Fantastic experience at Oaks Medical Practice. All the staff are always kind, helpful and professional — from reception to the nurses and doctors. They really do go out of their way to support patients and make things easy. A special thank you to Dr Aziz, who is incredibly caring, attentive and thorough. Dr Aziz always takes the time to listen, explain everything clearly and offer the best care. I feel very lucky to be registered with this practice. Highly recommend — thank you to the whole team for everything you do!

Probably the worst GP practice in Barrhead despite them being only the second GP I've registered with in my life, avoid them they don't listen and basically don't care. Dr Aziz is the worst GP I've ever experienced, he makes his own mind up, doesn't care what you say is very arrogant & tries to coherce you into reducing medication you have taken for years, AVOID at all costs

I'm unsure if this is a doctors surgery or a joke shop , terrible receptionists very abrupt and unhelpful, it takes around seven years to train a Doctor yet the woman on the phone seem to know it all in five minutes. There are never any appointments yet always looks empty , also they don't take prescription over the phone or email and revert back to the 80s and want pen and paper which bewildered me as it all has to be data entered onto their system or perhaps it's a commodore 64 they use who knows . Doctors seem ok if you can get to see them. Personally I prefer Dr Aziz as he is a very respectful and compationate young man. The little white haired nurse could do with some lessons in good manners and aslo GDP and not shout things across the waiting room that are Personal and sensitive.

Incredible service. My partner had a bad accident and broke her leg, we had to come and stay with family in the area after her surgery as we live on a 4th floor flat in Edinburgh and she couldn't do the stairs. Needed to arrange an appointment 10-14 days after her surgery to get staples removed and would have been difficult/painful getting her in the car to go back to Edinburgh. Called multiple surgeries who said they couldn't help and then called the Oaks, the staff could not have been more helpful. All very efficient and managed to get the appoinment arranged on time despite being closed for all the public holidays. Massive thank you to the team.

Cannot fault this practice. The receptionists are kind, helpful and have a great sense of empathy. Every time I call they go above and beyond and I can’t thank them enough. The doctors are thorough and efficient and take their time to listen to your concerns. Can honestly say best practice I’ve been a patient of, thank you to all at Oaks Medical Practice X

If I could give The Oaks Medical Practice no stars, I would. This is truly the worst GP practice I have ever had the displeasure of attending. The receptions are rude, unhelpful and just generally unwilling to help with even the smallest request. They consistently fail to send through prescriptions, but refuse to offer repeat prescriptions or give you the access requirements for the app... on which you can't even request prescriptions?! They've now said that you can't request prescriptions over the phone, but they won't give me the app details so... I'm just meant to not have my prescription? One that I've been on for five years and have never, at any other GP surgery, had to BEG to get on repeat. Avoid this surgery at all costs if you can, it's honestly the worst one I've ever experienced – and I've lived all over the UK, including in some of London's busiest boroughs, and have never had such a terrible experience.

Receptionist lovely, friendly and helpful. The doctor was great, efficient and gave my granddaughter what she needed along with instructions to call back should she need any further help. Can't fault them in anything. Thanks

The sad thing is, both Doctors within this practice are extremely professional when they need to be but also a good laugh. The issue with this practice really is receptions lack of... I don't know if its an attention span, training or lack there of, but when you can phone from when the practice opens to when it closes and not get through, only to be forced to come down to the practice while you are seriously unwell and put your own health and wellbeing at risk, negates the fact that the doctors of Oaks are actually outstanding and genuinely nice people. 1/5 because regardless of how much i try i can-not get through without the phone being either disconnected or ignored.

Can I first of all just say how reception have treated my Mum today is absolutely outrageous! I'm glad to see that your receptionists are driving all your patients away! Possibly a course in customer service might help. You have lost 5 patients today for how rude your reception are. I'd give the practice no stars if I could. Shocking.

I joined this practice two months ago and I am less than impressed. Firstly, I needed them to ensure I continued my two month rolling prescription. I gave them two months notice, then one month's notice, then two weeks notice, then one weeks notice and it still wasn't processed on time. I had to phone them for it to be told "we don't notify you of that" which I didn't know since I'm new to the practice. I booked a doctor appointment and when I turned up I was sent to see a nurse instead meaning I couldn't discuss the medical problems I had. I was told I couldn't book a doctor appointment in advance, I would have to phone first thing in the morning, but I can't do that while teaching a class, so the system they use is heavily flawed. I put a urine sample into the practice as I suspected I had a urine infection. I did not hear back. I had to phone up to ask about it and they said it was nothing, but didn't give me advice on what it could be. That condition has now gotten worse and I'm there's no guarantee I can even see a doctor about it any time soon, even though it has started to affect my life and my relationship. Not happy whatsoever with Oaks.
