First rung accepted me when no one else did , they helped me massively , I want to give a big thanks to Shelley and rashida for everything theve done and helped me accomplish here , I’ve managed to achieve all my goals and qualifications in 6 months !! Theve understood me better then anyone else has and helped me in ways that noone else has .
Staff didn’t bother to find me an apprenticeship, forgot about me despite emailing and messaging multiple times and ignored my concerns about me wasting valuable time with me as i was offered NO support at all. Was made to do lessons that were irrelevant to the course applied for and after i had finished them staff continued to ignore my concerns and questions regarding finding my apprenticeship placement. Once they supposedly “found” me a place they would email / call where they would then ignore me for weeks where i would ask, when would the interview for this placement take place. Overall i do NOT recommend this place for students looking to start an apprenticeship as the staff are very unprofessional and unorganised and don’t care about you. Id also like to complain about one staff member called Jose, as i found he was quite rude and came across as hostile when asking simple questions. I am writing this review as i had personally experienced this and now my friend who was with the company has experience the same. First Rung should do better.
First Rung proved to be an invaluable resource in my childcare course journey. From foundational concepts to practical applications, they offers a comprehensive array of tools and materials to support learners at every stage of their education. I have been here since September of 2023 And it has been a wonderful journey for me. The teachers here are so supportive for all of us and even provide us with nutritional snacks, fruit and water for when needed. We have a selection of board games to play during our breaks and overall the experience here has truly helped me to develop as the apprentice that I want to be! Thank you First Rung!
I took my English Functional Skills Level 2 Exam in 2018 and am still awaiting my credentials, thus I would not advise going to this company. Update: Still no certifications as of 2022; they always promise to contact me back
I have been at first rung for 3 years, the staff are really nice and supportive. I have achieved a lot in the last 3 years . I completed level 1 childcare and L1 in digital media, I also achieved L1 Maths and L1 English , at the moment I am doing L2 English, and Child care work placement in the nursery, during this time I have had a great support from the Tutors , staff working in the First rung, they made me feel welcome, valued, meet my individual needs.
