I write this with a heavy heart because I really wish that our experience was different. I attempted to enter my two children into nursery starting formally from October 2024. I received a lot of friendly and welcoming emails at the start encouraging us to come and see the nursery. We were then asked to pay a deposit of £400 to secure their place. I felt a bit uncomfortable as this deposit was not going towards their nursery fees and we were unsure as to why it was so high but just went along with this as we were desperate to secure them a place due to work starting in October. Fast forward 3 weeks later, and sadly our buyer pulled out and our purchase fell apart. We explained this to the nursery and asked whether there was any chance we could get at least part of the deposit back so that we could secure another nursery in a local area, given that not only we were providing them with over 2 months notice but also this had happened in a very unfortunate way and not something that we could have prevented. The nursery's response- just a blanket no. This was a non-refundable fee, but no one was able to explain to me what could have possibly justified a fee of 400 pounds in this short period of 3 weeks where we were in touch with the manager sending eachother a couple of emails in which time we got sent 3 forms to fill in. I feel that the incentive with this nursery is to make money and only this. It appears to me that the way this nursery operates represents the way they would be providing childcare- impersonal and corporate. Please go for a nursery that doesn't operate like a massive American corporate system. Go for a small family business where you feel that the money you spent on childcare is going to the pocket of actual people that are in charge of that business directly so that their incentive would be to have happy families and children.

Brilliant nursery - all the staff are kind, caring and considerate. There is so much parent involvement and staff/management are always open to working with you on your child’s unique journey whether it’s social, cognitive, emotional or even dietary requirements :) The building has got a lovely comfortable, homely feel to it and the team are always working hard to maintain and improve the nursery environment.

This is a fantastic nursery. The staff are kind and attentive, and most importantly to us they are reliable (our son has a genetic condition requiring additional care at specific times and they diligently provide that care). I would definitely recommend this nursey.

Fantastic nursery! My son has been here since 2018 and has loved every minute of it. I've been amazed at his social, cognitive and behavioural development since joining. I am completely confident that he'll thrive at school next year with the great foundations he's developed at Elizabeth Terrace. But most importantly, he can't wait to go to nursery each day, which gives me comfort as a working parent that my son is in good hands.
