   I have a son called Vihaan , who has been started at the Kumon when he was 3 years and 10 months old, before he started his reception year at school. From he started the reception year, he is the top of the reading group. The reading program enhanced his vocabulary at early age. Vihaan had advanced well beyond both subjects. Kumon will help the child advance in school. Kumon has helped him become an independent and confident person in every way. We are very thankful to Kumon’s instructor Shakhlo. She is a brilliant and dedicated person. Shakhlo is a soft - spoken and kind to all the children. We absolutely recommend Kumon with Shakhlo at Orpington village hall.

   I have two daughters who have been on the Kumon programme. My oldest has been on it for a year and is a Year 3 student at school. My youngest is in Year 1. The Kumon programme has been life changing and a game changer for both my daughters. It has given them both a sense of responsibility and self discipline in their approach to their learning and homework ethics. It has given my Year 3, the self belief, determination even through some difficult problems to work through them and the enthusiasm to want to learn and discover more in learning. For my youngest it has also created an inbulit confidence in her learning and wanting to go the extra mile. Shaklo has been brilliant and a constant source of encouragement and support on this journey. She is a fantastic instructor with consistency throughtout. Since the start of the programme we have seen an immense change in the level of work and growth of learning. The programme works and we are so thankful for it.

   Kumon is great for building up a solid foundation for learning. My son has been attending since he was 7 now he’s 10 still enjoying it. Teachers at the centre give personalised support for each child. It really helps the children to fill in some gaps from their school learning. Now my daughter has started too and I am confident she will keep improving!

   We started Kumon at the Orpington Centre with Shakhlo it’s coming up to 2 years now. My son was 2 months shy of turning 5 when we started. I didn’t know anything about the Kumon way of learning before we began. A mother at his school had spoken to me about it and I wanted to check it out. I am so thankful that I did. We chose to do both subjects English and Maths. In the beginning we felt it was too easy and repetitive and we questioned the method, but for all the parents out there who have doubts, I can genuinely and honestly say do it and it is worth the effort, finance and patience. Kumon becomes a discipline, it has instilled in my child 30mins of concentrated work everyday which is easy enough for him to complete within that time frame. Your child will thrive in his class and will be ahead in both subjects. My son is in year 2 and does maths at grade 5. His is confident in reading and writing. He feels a sense of achievement which is priceless. This was achieved with the help of Shakhlo, she is soft, gentle and kind to the children, her disciplined way of conducting the classes have resulted in my son wanting to learn from her. She always takes the time to guide me and suggests simple methods to help with his lessons at home. In short, I absolutely recommend Kumon with Shakhlo.
