Robert is kind helpful and respectful He uses a variety of usefull methods when teaching piano. He is a nice and lively person to work with. He is strict and knows what he wants his students to achieve but also very calm, flexible and relaxed at the same time.

When our son Arthur started piano lessons with Rob, Arthur was a complete beginner. We wanted Arthur to work through the gradings and to be a well rounded pianist who could play both classical and modern music. Rob's experience of achieving all 8 ABRSM gradings stood out to us and he has been great at motivating Arthur and structuring lessons to get the most out of him. I am an absolute beginner. By that I mean that I have a starting musical ability in line with that of the average family hamster. I was interested in singing, but had been too scared to do so for years. Somehow, Rob made me feel instantly comfortable. You can see that Rob employs an individual approach with each and every student. I notice sometimes when I am anxious, he changes pace, or stops and tries a new method, or sings with me so I feel more comfortable. After a while I noticed a guitar, and I am learning that now too. We have worked on my development with a completely tailored plan, that is fluid yet consistent. He messages me suggestions and answers questions or support I need between classes. You can see he actually gets excited when he students are enjoying, learning and developing. I am extremely happy I started this journey with Rob, and add that it is in a lovely open and relaxing venue. A life-long ambition of mine was to learn how to sing and use my voice to its full potential, but most importantly, feel confident in doing so.
