AVOID THE "SPA" - TERRIBLE TREATMENTS Attended as part of an itison deal for afternoon tea and spa treatment. The afternoon tea and service provided were great. The waiter serving us was very friendly and the food was very nice. The pool was cold but ok. The sauna and steam room were great. The staff at the leisure area were very nice however the spa treatment left much to be desired. I have never had a massage with such little pressure before, it was more like a back rub, the worst massage I've ever experienced. I wouldn't be surprised if their masseuse called in sick and they had someone from food and beverage come to cover the spa bookings. Never again and would not recommend such an amateur service. The main reason for booking the deal was for a massage but we were left so disappointed that we booked another massage elsewhere a few days later. I would never do a similar deal there again considering how poor their spa treatments are. I would attend for afternoon tea again however but the spa? AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

The hotel was lovely nothing to fault. The spa however seems a stretch to even call it a spa, it had a filthy locker room. A nice swimming pool a tiny sauna that was no hotter than a gust of Mediterranean wind. If you’re coming here for a spa don’t bother.

Embarrassing and grim. Mold in the room (see photos) where the tea was kept and in the shower (which had no water pressure). My guest received no confirmation email for her stay. I spoke with reception to ensure only my card would be charged and was assured this would be guaranteed and yet my guest was still made to foot the bill. While most staff were friendly & apologetic for the issues faced (I appreciate its a busy time of year), the reception manager was lacking in even the most basic of conversational capacity and was intent on denying any failure on the hotels part.

Went for spa day and afternoon tea. Both therapists were absolutely amazing we both left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Both so attentive, nothing wS too much trouble. Afternoon tea was also amazing and they catered for us as vegetarians. Will be back. Highly recommend.

I I wish I could give this place a higher rating. It has potential, but considering the price we paid, the rooms, the facilities, and the breakfast experience, I cannot justify giving it more. Earlier in the afternoon, we called to check the closing time for the spa and pool. A man over the phone told us they would close at 6 p.m., which was a bit disappointing. We rushed to arrive by then, but once at reception, a lovely young lady assured us the spa and pool would close at 7 p.m. We then headed to our room, changed, and visited the spa. While a bit dated, it was equipped with a sauna, steam room, and pool, and we enjoyed a lovely hour there. Our room was okay. I still feel uneasy whenever I see the carpet, especially with visible stains and marks. The bathroom, however, was clean and in good condition. What left me a bit baffled was breakfast. The cups and plates felt dirty; at first, I thought it was just a tactile sensation, but when picking up a glass for juice, my partner noticed how dirty it was and decided to skip the juice. The breakfast itself was okay, with a range of English and Scottish options, but very little fresh fruit. The fruit that was available seemed like canned, sweetened fruit. Overall, if it weren’t marketed as a 4-star hotel, I would have been more comfortable. This time, I don’t feel confident saying I would return or recommend it to others. The service was acceptable, and reception was welcoming, but nothing beyond that.

Loved staying here for 11 days in the fall. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Leading up to Christmas, it was so festive and warm. I will definitely stay there again. PS even found a cousin didn't know we had.

Went for a Christmas night out and had a great time The staff were lovely and courteous. The Little Red band singer was brilliant The meal could have been a lot better with the prawn cocktail not good enough and slightly sour. The beef was really over cooked and the pudding - Apple pie was inedible.... however food apart it was a really good night.
