   I wrote the below a few years ago. My son is nearly 10 now and all of the below remains true. He continues to love going to camps and you can see how happy and content he is. It's a great way to be creative and avoid computer games ;-) It's great for their confidence but also spending time with peers in a supportive environment. Thoroughly recommend!! My son (7) has been attending SJM through term-time and all Summer Camps for a couple of years now and I cannot recommend it enough! He absolutely loves going here, literally runs into every session. His confidence has grown, he's so full of energy and joy when he comes home after being in the class - I think he'd go every day if he could. And this is from a boy we normally need to bribe to go to other classes (and we've been to lots). I've also noticed his concentration improving more generally in other subjects as a result of concentrating on his lines here. Huge testament to the staff who are so capable and professional but also create such a warm, caring environment. They are all absolutely amazing and I would have no hesitation in recommending SJM - it's awesome!!

   Loved ‘Aggie’ show from SJM club at Bruntsfield Primary! The directors have taken immense efforts on making the show real success, which we could experience as the show was very professional and where kids simply loved playing part in! Loved overall experience and my kid (played part in it) can’t stop praising about the club and nice time he had with them!❣️

   Our kids (boy 11 and girl 14 years) were impressed how the imaginative and creative SJM teachers managed to involve kids, how fast the kids progressed. They easily made friends and enjoyed the breaks in between. We as parents adored the final show - well done and very entertaining. Communication has always been excellent, thanks a lot, Stephen. We highly recommend this SJM activity for a summer program.

   My daughter absolutely LOVED SJM! Even though she was a bit shy to start with the tutors create such a friendly and supportive atmosphere - I was so impressed. The teaching is gold standard and they offer many opportunities to learn in a safe and nurturing atmosphere. The kids also get to perform which is so much fun, and it helps them work as a team. The whole experience gives them so much confidence! Highly recommended.

   You can tell in their public performances that the young people are having authentically joyful experiences through well-written and produced productions. As a theatre director and teacher myself, I really appreciate the organisation and quality of what Stephen achieves with his academy. Outside of SJM, I have taught drama to pupils from there and you can see how informed they are from their training; clearly demonstrated in their ability to communicate and then implement acting choices, their second-nature stage skills and their confidence. Highly recommend!
