I loved theatre when I was younger and feel away from it. I came across EK Rep Theatre Club and I am so glad I did. A really supportive community that gives people opportunities and I have been involved since in different ways depending on what's going on in my life at the time. Definitely join if you are thinking about it, you won't regret it.
I like that they had everything in order and on the ball when it comes to productions, but they will dismiss you without warning if you were late for rehearsals etc. In the professional world, actors get warning before being dismissed but they didn't with me. One day I'm rehearsing my lines and the next im off the show. I had a misunderstanding with a cast member and thought it was sorted but clearly not. They charge £20 for a membership where you might not even get a job at all. They have favourites as they appear in every show. I have no bad blood with anyone I worked with ( expect one ) they were nice and treated me well. I just would have liked a warning before discarding me like I was trash. I will never go back again and my family got refunded thier ticket money so their loss.

We do soo much amature theatre there, along with putting on a show every 6 weeks, repfest one act competition, and panto. We also do member workshops and other social events.
