If you’re thinking about doing AAT Level 2 or 3 at this college, honestly, look elsewhere. I only did both levels here because I qualified for funding—if not, I wouldn’t have stayed. The teaching quality is really poor. The tutor just reads straight from the textbook and doesn’t actually teach or explain the material. There’s no real lesson preparation, no proper support before exams, and it often feels like she’s just there for the paycheck. I’d leave classes confused about what was discussed, and only after going home and re-learning everything myself would I understand the topic. Every year the course starts with a full classroom and ends with only 2–3 students left. It’s shocking that the college hasn’t addressed all the complaints or paid attention to what students keep saying. This is just a small part of what I—and many other students have experienced. Take this as a warning and consider self-study or choosing another college.

an absolutely horrendous place of 'education'. a family member of mine gets a timetable for 3/4 days of lessons, only for him to have to show up to 1/2 per week, barely at that because they only keep you for 2hrs max there with a ''finish the rest of your work at home''. a waste of money and time even making the distance to get there. teachers get to not show up for lessons whenever they want and this is the 2nd year that's happened now. what could people possibly be learning, especially in cases where they're redoing their maths/eng or are a type of learner who can't just do everything themselves? tutors barely support you at that and if there are teacher absences they let you know last minute when you're already there at the college, all for you to go home because of them.

The teachers are immature, quick to mock, full of self importance and are actively unhelpful/unsupportive. In my son's first year they gave him the wrong timetables and as a result he turned up to the wrong classes and got told to go home. I received a call from one tutor while I was at work which was disruptive in itself. We agreed a meeting would be beneficial to assess and discuss my son's progression. He assured me I would be sent an email with a meeting date and time. It never came and he was unresponsive to my emails. Instead of communicating professionally, or at all, he indicated in his final report that my son would not be back for the second year. I still to this day have not been given an acceptable reason why. This caused excessive and unneccesary stress to both me as the parent and my son. This year my son has been given four incorrect timetables, which again meant that he turned up to the wrong classes and this has resulted in him and myself being threatened with being kicked off the course for non attendance! How does that make sense? He now has 30% attendance. No apology for their incompetence, just more stress and anxiety. Clearly they are on some sort of sick power trip and enjoy inflicting confusion, making threats and playing head games. They despise these youths and deserve to be sacked. My son has to resit maths because he was too scared to say to anyone that he was being deliberately distracted by a kid who could easily pull the discrimination card. None of this is anywhere near ok or acceptable. Sadly, there's no use in making a formal complaint because they'll only hide behind college policies and offers of non existent support. As a single mum working full time, I don't have time for their games. They don't care because no one is more important than themselves. These weak souls are role models? Don't make me laugh. Their behaviour does not reflect the real world or actual work place, it's just an extension of their school days in the playground. I would like to say that the office staff are outstanding and top quality. Without them, college life would be hell. They understand young adults and support them.

Glad I chose this college over my local. Had some brilliant teachers and recommend for all. Campus is very large, canteen is a good size also. The building is full of history and it has a very large tech department. Library on campus was a really good place to use the computers for free and access WIFI. Overall good place to learn

This is a great college with many corses the staff are always very helpful and friendly I like the open plan reception. The training restaurant is not to be missed the food is amazing and it’s all done by the students. I have been many times and the service is always great from the time you walk in until the time you leave these students are amazing and they work hard the prices are very reasonable for the service you get.
