   Dealing with Abbie who was overseeing the sale/negotiations for my property was a total pleasure. She’s friendly, extremely knowledgeable, thorough, always quick to respond and always very helpful and concise with her responses. Correspondence with her has been just superb, couldn’t have asked for anything more! She’s a true asset to Gilson Gray and I will be definitely using Gilson Gray’s services again in future!    Slow, inefficient, incredibly hard to get in contact with. We were ignored for weeks and completely left in the dark despite many calls and emails; we couldn't be able to see the house a second time till the date of entry because we waited basically until the last couple of days to finally end the missives; for this reason we were forced to accept any inconvenience and problems with the property to avoid any risk of not getting the house and being homeless, for real. All of this caused expenses that we would have been able to avoid if only we had the time to organize everything, spending a lot more money than expected for a house that we love but was full of surprises. They deprived us of the joy in the process of buying our first home, making everything incredibly stressful and complicated.

   Absolutely appalling service. We had the misfortune of dealing with Gilson Gray for a house sale, and their incompetence and inefficiency were staggering. Communication was virtually impossible – calls and emails went unanswered, and on the rare occasion we did get through, we were passed endlessly from one person to another. What should have been a straightforward transaction was dragged out for weeks due to their delays, putting the entire chain at risk of collapse. Their lack of urgency, accountability, and professionalism caused needless stress and frustration. Avoid them at all costs.

   Dreadful in all aspects, No transparency on billing and hoping for the easy option of settlement rather than fighting or properly negotiating for the client. Deadlines for court submissions missed on a number of occasions. Would avoid at all costs, and it will definitely cost.

   Gilson Gray assisted me with the sale of my flat and purchase of my house, and I would thoroughly recommend their services. From the outset, Arran Lovell supported me with a valuation and getting my flat on the market, and this support continued through until we accepted an offer. Karen McMillan was hugely helpful and provided great guidance throughout the sale as we overcame some hurdles. Cheryl Edgar then professionally progressed the conveyancing for both the sale and purchase and communicated with us throughout. I would definitely use Gilson Gray again.

   Tried to arrange a viewing on a property listed at a fixed price. Initial request for viewing was made at 0947hrs on 1/2/23. I asked for something ideally that day but just as soon as possible, given the property is listed at a fixed price. Abby from Gilson Gray asked if I had a property to sell, which we do, and immediately became difficult to deal with. She said she "thinks" the viewing agent would be available on Saturday but that she would have to speak to them. I advised that was fine and awaited a call back. Nothing heard. At 1424hrs on 2/2/23, I phoned again to chase this up. At 1438hrs, same date, I received a call back from Abby saying the viewing agent could do Saturday and asked if we'd be available then. I said we could only do the morning. Unsurprisingly, Abby said the viewing agent could only be there from 12.30pm onwards and offered no alternative time for us to view. Thankfully, we've had an offer accepted on another property, through another agent. I would recommend you don't sell your house through Gilson Gray as they make it nigh-on -impossible for viewers to get through the door.

   Had good service with them until i was charged £180 for just one chaser email to a debtor. The lawyer in charge failed to see things from my point of view after I've paid almost £3,000 over a period of 6-9 months on the same case. For peace to reign, I eventually paid the unjustified £180 after they sent me a letter threatening to taking me to court. I won't use them nor refer the firm to anyone. They refuse to see a bigger picture of dealing with customer.

   Being a first time buyer I wasn’t very experienced in the “house buying process”. Lynn B at Gilson Gray has the patience of a saint and welcomed every question i had. Her communication and the efficiency was absolutely outstanding and I cannot thank her enough for making this special time in my life even more exciting. Lynn was always professional however when communicating through email (thanks covid) there was a personal touch to it which made this even more special. Thank you to the team at Gilson Gray that helped me through the house buying process and a massive thank you to Lynn.
