Faye and Liz at the Aberdeen office have been brilliant on the 2 occasions I have used them. Always keep me in the loop. Neil Finlayson at Andersonbain's Edinburgh office dealt with the sale of my flat and the subsequent purchase of a new home with my partner. Despite the pandemic circumstances and wider market fluctuations and uncertainty, he was able to provide clear and experienced professional support, which made the whole process much easier. His reliability and responsiveness was excellent for us, dealing with buying and selling on the open market for the first time. The sale and purchase itself went through smoothly as scheduled with the helpful support of paralegal Carly. Laura Hunter, Andersonbain's Estate Agent dealing with the sale of my flat, provided excellent service, advice, and guidance. It wasn't an easy job since the property was Shared Ownership, meaning a smaller pool of eligible buyers and requirements they needed to meet. She stuck with it, friendly, knowledgeable and professional to the last, and we were able to take the first offer through to completion. While we hope to be in our new home for some time, we won't hesitate to contact Andersonbain in the future if the need arises.
I just wish to thank Neil for everything he's done. Every time I rang him he was friendly and helpful and I never felt like I was being a nuisance. In addition there was an issue at the last minute where the purchaser tried to get money from me for factor-related activity which I should not have been responsible for. Neil dealt with this proactively before consulting with me and dismissing their claim. This reaffirmed to me his diligence and competence. I will most certainly use Neil again in future should the need arise. I've also given my friend, who is selling a property in August/September, a glowing reference. He has just met Neil as he had to drop in the keys of the flat and liked him immediately. After consulting me he has decided to use his services also. The price is as competitive as there is in the market and I seriously doubt whether any of the bigger companies, who charge more, could have provided a better service. I also won't hesitate to recommend Neil to any other friends or work colleagues who are involved in a property sale / purchase in future.
