If I could rate this college a zero I would , went in today for an open day with my sister as she wants to go to college here , she left in tears ! The staff are incredibly rude and think itβs okay to tell a child they wonβt be able to do what they want to in life, this particular woman who works in the SEN bit thought it was okay to tell her that she dosent qualify to go into the special needs bit as she doesnβt look the type! How can someone say that ? Because my sister dosent look special needs apparently means she isnβt special needs , that she dosent need the extra help ! Disgusting

I attended merton college a few years ago and it was one of the biggest mistakes I have ever done. The students are out of control and the teachers do nothing. Students are talking in their phones, listening to music during the lesson periods. When the students have a lunch break, they steal food and drinks from Gregg's in morden and leave laughing. They have no respect for other people lives . I am unsure if they steal from anywhere else and it is always the boys who commit these offences.

Probably one of the worst colleges in London. Teachers are never in, timetable was initially fine but after a long time of teacher absence they changed it and now its very inconvenient and they make us come in on the days we are supposed to have off to rest. Barely any help for exams and coursework, I have never felt this unprepared for exams in my life. I dread coming here every day and I don't know how I'll manage to finish my course, I contemplate dropping out all the time. The only good thing about it is that it's close to my home. Really regret picking this college.

Signed up last year for the guitar making and repair course, the teaching staff was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Sadly, machines broke down with 10 weeks to complete the course and was not repaired, this held back students in completing their class projects. Also, tried to enroll again for this year but the enrollment opened late while I was in holiday, and I required to spread my tuition fees in installments. I partially completed the enrollment and exchanged emails with the admissions team stating that I would pay and complete the enrollment once I returned to the country. For my disappointment, when I was able to physically attend to the college, they had cancelled my enrollment and gave my spot to someone else, now the class is full. Returning students should be guaranteed a spot.

Attended here between 2013 - 2016 back when it was known as South Thames College. The course I studied (BTEC Travel & Tourism) was fantastic and the teachers were great too, however the college itself was terrible and was in disarray. This wasn't the safest college either as I remember a lot of students getting into crime and causing chaos here. Still, the three-year course I did was great, but I am disappointed that I never got to travel abroad while studying the course.

Trash college, school turns a blind eye to all kind of serious bad behaviour. Teachers are very difficult to understand and often seem clueless when asked questions. Their main concern seems to be safeguarding which is ironic as I have seen multiple fights in front of teachers and seen no action taken. I also know people who have had things stolen and absolutely nothing done about it. Do not go to this school if you want a good working environment/ students and teachers that care the slightest about education. Bear in mind I only went here for 4 months.

Absolutely terrible. I've only been there for about 6 months and its absolutely disgusting. When people told me that in college no one cares about you I didn't believe them, but now i see what they mean and that they were right. Would give it a 0 if I could. Teachers don't even give you support you need. Absolutely nobody cares about you or your mental health (considering everything happening tight now). Would not recommend. A-levels are much harder (as most people probably know), but they are much more worth than what you get from this college. The support and all the help you will be getting is much more worth than what this college give you. Don't waste your time going there. Also canteen food is really expensive.# literally 2 words to describe it: RACIST and NEGATIVITY from the head of Biology (teaches Applied science and health and social care) and carerr advice lady.

I'm doing the level 2 counselling course. The teaching is great & no complaints, but the facilities at the college are awful. Three toilets to use for a whole evening class, which on several occasions have been absolutely disgusting and not cleaned. There is no refreshments supplied or anywhere to get tea and coffee. It's not fit for purpose.

If you're thinking of taking the Violin or Guitar making Courses, pay no attention to the negative reviews - The Instrument making teachers are first class, wonderful people, and an absolute pleasure to spend time with, let alone learn an unbelievable amount for. It seems pretty sad that it sounds like this is a rare case at the College compared with the other courses/reviews. I had a quick skim read of the other reviews and I can't comment really as many seem course related issues, but the Finance lady there is efficient, direct, and absolutely helpful (explaining some issues to me which I was confused with).
