Card left saying parcel left in my safe space but no parcel there. Phoned only to be told that there is no record of a delivery, but couldn't tell me who or why would have put card through my door. The contact then had the cheek to hang up on me Pity zero stars isn't an option

3 deliveries received in last 3 months. Never once has the doorbell rung. Parcel left on doorstep despite someone in the house. Because they are just left on doorstep ( for hours) consequently parcels are soaking wet as it has been raining. Why is the doorbell NEVER rung? Do your drivers need training on how to ring a doorbell!!

I’ve never written a review like this before, but my experience with DPD was genuinely the worst delivery nightmare I have ever had. I was moving apartments from Edinburgh to Aberdeen and decided to use DPD to send two of my suitcases. I paid for next-day delivery, the driver picked them up, and I assumed everything was fine. I kept tracking the parcels, only to discover three days AFTER the scheduled delivery that both bags had been sent back to Edinburgh — despite being in Aberdeen for three whole days. There was zero communication from DPD about any delivery attempt or issue. I contacted their online chat for help, and the agent eventually abandoned the chat completely. Out of frustration, I physically went to the Aberdeen depot. I was told the bags were already on their way back to Edinburgh, but they assured me they would be returned to Aberdeen. That never happened. A week later, the suitcases were delivered to my old Edinburgh address, even though I repeatedly told customer service that I had already moved to Aberdeen. After more back-and-forth, and three weeks later, DPD sent my bags to a post office in Edinburgh — so I had to pay for a train and taxi to go collect them myself. And after all of this? They only returned one suitcase. The second one is still missing. It has been over a month, and DPD has provided no communication, no updates — nothing. I was the only one tracking the case. To make matters worse, I was told I would only receive a £50 claim, even though the suitcase alone cost £65 and weighed 25kg. The contents? Not accounted for. The stress? Priceless. If you are thinking about using DPD, don’t. They have been unprofessional, inconsiderate, and unreliable from start to finish. This is your warning: stay far away from them.

Driver 2 hours late and attended my neighbors address and taken a photo of it, I have video footage. Said on the tracking he will be back the next day and didn’t show up. Used the app to phone customer service for them to say someone from this depot will phone me with no call. Definitely the worst service I have experienced, put these guys up their with Evri, please train your driver Abdul that was on the EH4 run on Friday night (21st Nov) at 8:00pm to look at the door numbers correctly. My light above my door was the only one on in the street.

Paid to select date of delivery.(Livingston) Night before due I received a message to say 24hr delay.... so changed delivery to my work address. Delivery window 12:30 to 13:30 tracked the delivery all morning... was 15min away then refreshed to say missed delivery with a photo of the outside of the building and they'd try again tomorrow. Driver didn't attempt to come in... saw him driving out the carpark. Phoned dpd and nice lady contacted edinburgh who told her the driver would bring my parcel back today. Told her I finish 5pm... still waiting No email updates. No texts. Not impressed.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by DPD. I ordered an item for next-day delivery, which was supposed to arrive on 24th September. However, the driver falsely claimed that a delivery attempt was made, uploaded a blank photo as proof, and marked it as “missed delivery.” This is completely untrue – no one came to deliver the parcel. The same driver repeated this on 25th September with another false attempt and another blank proof photo. This behaviour is unacceptable. I want to know why the driver is doing this and why no one from DPD proactively contacted me about these failed attempts. Eventually, I was told the parcel would be rescheduled for the next working day as per DPD’s policy – but the fault here clearly lies with DPD. To make matters worse, when I contacted DPD Customer Service, the representative encouraged me to purchase your VIP service to ensure next-day delivery on 27th September. This makes it seem as though DPD is deliberately failing deliveries to push customers towards paying extra for your VIP service. This is extremely disappointing and comes across as unethical marketing. I even received a call from a DPD manager who assured me the parcel would be delivered on 27th September, yet the tracking still shows it as due for delivery on Monday 29th September. I paid for next-day delivery as part of a premium service, but it appears DPD is trying to extract more money from customers by charging additional VIP fees on top of premium delivery. This is a disgraceful way to treat customers and a truly poor level of service. - A Unsatisfied Customer

Parcel never arrived and delivery person lied that they could not find anyone at home. Door was unlocked and open for their convenience and someone was at home the whole day but he/she did not even bother to attempt a delivery and when contacted by us they lied about attempting a delivery and just left the parcel elsewhere for us to pick it up. And not having an option to deliver the parcel a different day although it was their fault?! Very unprofessional behaviour. Maybe try a different career option since DPD in Edinburgh definitely does not qualify as a courier company. Shame on you.

If I could give DPD Edinburgh zero stars, I would. For the past week, I have received an email from them every single day telling me that my parcel will be delivered the next day. However, much to my surprise, it has never actually been delivered. I am thoroughly impressed by their consistent failure to deliver my parcel and their seemingly endless supply of empty promises. I would highly recommend DPD Edinburgh to anyone looking to be frustrated and disappointed on a daily basis. Keep up the fantastic work!

Terrible service from the team. 4 parcels due to be delivered. 3 arrived with Kevin, who was superb. 4th parcel delivered to wrong address and that driver lied by stating it HD been handed to myself...got name from address. Called to say I didn't receive and asked driver to return to where he dropped off and bring to me. Never happened. Now 18 days later and still do not have parcel despite Edinburgh Depot claiming they have it and every day claim they will deliver. Can only suspect they have lost the parcel but not willing to admit this. Customer Service raise note daily but do not allow me to contact depot directly. Service is abysmal and keep being fed lies from the depot. DPD appear to be decent if all goes well...but if there's a mistake, won't admit. Won't accept responsibility and make it difficult to resolve. Re-look your customer service process and be honest DPD!

They used to be all right but it is legitimate to call them "scam" or "fraud" now. They lie about people not being at home because they don't want to deliver to your door. That's not a delivery company, it is a scam. They lie about you not being at home three times and your parcel is then sent back to the sender. They blame you and keep the postage. When the parcel is ordered to be shipped again, they have more business. DPD is covertly coaching you to chose the pick-up point option if you ever want to see your parcel. That is more profit for them becasue they're cutting their costs. Seeing so many similar reviews on Google and Trustpilot, it is not possible for this to happen without DPD knowing, so they may even instruct drivers verbally to do so. It is how deep a once good business could sink.

Yesterday, I watched a DPD driver from the window as they drove in front of my house. Took a photo of my house from their van. They then drive off and said that I wasn’t in and they missed me! Shocking. It was raining and getting quite late, about 6pm, so I can imagine the driver just couldn’t be bothered and wanted to get home. If you can’t be bothered to walk the 5 metres from the van to the house then you shouldn’t be keeping your job
