I write this review with a heavy heart as this restaurant has been a favourite and the food is outstanding. Sadly the behaviour of the senior front of house staff member is not. I’ve forgiven her abrupt, verging on the rude approach in the past, but not this time. Having arrived for our dinner booking a couple of weeks ago we were met with an empty restaurant. For me, part of the joy of eating out in nice restaurants is the atmosphere and experience, as well as the lovely food! So we said to the staff that we’d like to rebook. They confirmed that was fine explaining that by rebooking we wouldn’t loose our deposit, we wished them well and said we’d look forward to returning a few weeks later. Two days later I received an email saying I’d been charged for cancelling, I phoned the restaurant and left a message asking someone to call back, I received no call back. Today I called the restaurant again to resolve what I thought was a simple mistake. I said I’d called and received no call back (no apology was given for their non response) and hoped they could resolve the issue, expecting them to offer to refund the £24 or something similar. Instead I ended up on the receiving end of what was a really unpleasant conversation with the lead female front of house. Rather than seeking to resolve the issue, given she confirmed they gave us the wrong information, a problem she shared happened frequently and had happened as recently as today, it was still my fault for “leaving” (albeit we left having rebooked on the basis we protected our deposit). After 10 minutes of more or less being talked at and her taking no responsibility for the lack of staff training or retention of information, she offered to “take the hit” and put £20 in reserve for our visit aggressively stating “that’s what you want isn’t it!!” I declined. Such a said ending, so unnecessary and goes to show, no matter how fabulous the food, if you’re treated poorly people will vote with their feet. I really hope the business recognise the training need they have from a service perspective and wish them well.

First time with my wife in this delightful restaurant. Beautiful restaurant. Staff were absolutely amazing. The food was outstanding. I’d highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back.

Quite excellent food overall, although I found some of it over-seasoned, and meat a little fatty. Overpriced - mains (already min. £30+ each) require addition of sides separately, which is not clear from menu online. Automatic service charge which I really dislike, although staff were attentive. Automatic charitable donations also really disliked. Just a regular bill please

The bar and kitchen is an amazing setup and the design and layout complements the dining experience with great food and the presentation make the mouth water at the detail that has gone into making you experience world class food from an amazing chef. To have the owner take time to explain how he produces great food and the chocolate on offer made my day. I would highly recommend a visit and enjoy the dining experience.

Very very good! Food beyond fantastic. The service excellent and the atmosphere perfect. A few things with their customer facing terms and conditions could be done much better, but something you can overlook when it’s great food. Would highly recommend. 5/5

Had the pleasure of eating here on Friday night. Friendly and attentive staff, gorgeous food and delicious wine. Can't praise the place highly enough. I suppose the only drawback is that is is quite expensive, but that's not to say it isn't value for money, just beware you'll need a few pennies. This actually works to it's benefit though as it's the perfect place to take someone for a posh meal to make them feel really special. The veggie options are limited, but that's not an issue either as what they do have is delicious. I had the mozzarella to start and the aubergine gratin as my main. I've been dreaming about it ever since.....

Went for a late valentines meal with my partner. Food was fantastic. The iberian pork is outstanding and the food was fantastic through out. Will 100% be back.

Good but not wow! First impression, decor/ambiance was somewhat dated. Service was casual & friendly, starter was good, main excellent but the pudding, didn't do it for me. Based on the prices charged, I was expecting a bit more, perhaps an amuse bouche or even some nice crusty bread. Some highlights with the food but a bit disappointing overall.

Safisticated and extensive menu, great atmosphere and staff. Food was great and coffee was very good . I advise to book in advance as most tables were booked on a Sunday. Prices are higher than pub or chain restaurant but I would say reasonable for offering. Loved the place.

The food was brilliant! Not your average menu with lots of twists and flavours, they chef has taken the time to think about the fusion of flavours. The service was great. We will definitely be back!
