   I visited on 28th September 2025 between 2-3pm and accidentally left behind a small black leather bag with a silver chain. The bag contained a power bank, Apple AirPods, two lip glosses, and one lipstick (to the best of my recollection, possibly more items). I have called twice to follow up. Each time I was told there are no cameras and that my bag was not found. I was also told the matter would be discussed with other staff and that I would receive a call back, but no one has contacted me. The response so far has felt dismissive, and I would appreciate a more thorough follow-up. --- Response to your reply: Thank you for replying. I did call the number listed on your website, twice, and was told each time that my bag wasn’t found and that someone would get back to me - but no one ever did. I still haven’t been able to locate it. To be honest, both the phone conversations and this response have felt very dismissive, especially given that I lost something valuable on your premises. A more proactive approach from management would have made a big difference, and it influences how staff handle situations like this too. I understand it’s been a while now, but I’m disappointed with how the matter was handled overall.

   Holy moly. There are no words to describe how good the carrot cake is. I mean it is literally the BEST carrot cake I have ever eaten. Nowhere will even come close to making carrot cake this good. The iced lattes are top notch as well.

   The Old Stables Café in Castle Combe was a pleasant stop for lunch. The café is dog-friendly, which is always a bonus. I had the soup and a cappuccino—both were good and hit the spot. The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a nice place to visit if you’re in the area.
