Our son has been attending TyT for some time and he never wants to stop! He is not the most outgoing performer and gets very nervous at times but he feels very accepted and supported by the other young people and the instructors/teachers, who are amazing. We would highly recommend TyT
I am the producer of The Exchange Theatre in Twickenham’s annual pantomime, an in-house production, and for two years now we have worked with Twickenham Youth Theatre (TYT). Each year we have worked with two teams of 6 children across the show week, supported throughout by the TYT Team. I have thoroughly enjoyed the relationship we have built between The Exchange Players and TYT, and have been constantly surprised and delighted at the results the children have achieved under the tutorage, facilitation and enthusiasm of the TYT Leadership Team. Last year, under the supervision of the TYT Facilitators, the TYT children created and named their own characters, and in conjunction with the writer (myself) and the director, also their own dialogue. The results of this were informed and funny, and we are looking forward to repeating this process. We are currently planning a further collaboration with the pantomime again this year, and I cannot now imagine working with another youth group. I am only sorry that, as a youngster, I was not exposed to such a talented, ambitious and positive environment!
My Daughter has been a member of Twickenham Youth Theatre since 2021 and she has loved every second of it! All of there classes are fun and engaging! It has helped my child gain more confidence and helped her boost her acting skills. Without Tyt and there support she wouldn't of had all of these wonderful acting opportunities. We are forever grateful for tyt!
Fantastic drama club run by lovely people. This drama club has helped develop my child’s passion for drama along with building his overall confidence. Through TYT he has performed in some fantastic plays, been on a tour of the National and seen an award winning play. Highly recommend.
My daughter has been attending weekly drama sessions with Twickenham Youth Theatre at the Exchange in Twickenham, and the impact on her has been truly wonderful. She looks forward to it every week—it’s a space where she feels safe, seen, and free to be herself. The team create such a supportive and inclusive environment where confidence, creativity, and collaboration are nurtured in the most thoughtful way. It’s helped her grow in confidence, develop friendships, and express herself in ways that everyday life doesn’t always allow. I couldn’t recommend Twickenham Youth Theatre more highly for any young person—but especially for those who need a bit of extra support to find their voice and feel like they belong.
Really impressed by this group. My daughter loved it and came bouncing out full of ideas and confidence. Highly recommend!
