I have been a parent of three students of Italia Conti. The level of training is as good as it gets. Their staff care so much about getting the best out of all students and getting them ready for the performance indusrty. Thank you IC!
Italia Conti used to have a very good reputation, since the closure of the Barbican branch I don’t deem it to be the same. The prices are quite high, also you are forced to opt into multiple classes which I feel should be optional though due to the financial difficulties I wonder if this is due to fraud or something else as it stated in the press millions were missing. Also the accounts on companies house were not great.
Ok I am bias, but so excited to see this next phase of Conti's! It's not every day you get to your hobbie day in day out and get to live your dreams! Some of the best and most memorbale times were spent here. My own Conti journey started at the Guildford Associate school in the 90's focusing on acting, but with the support and encouragment I received there I soon took on all aspects of performing arts (yes including ballet) and made it to the main school (which was in London at the time). Fast forward 25 years (wow has it really been that long), and now my daughter is beginning her own journey at the Associate School. x
These people took every single penny I’d ever earned or saved, money my dad took out of his pension to help me and had no intention of teaching me anything.

I have enrolled and paid a deposit for a class and realized straight afterwards that I was too old to attend. (Only under to 18 years old) I have called straight away so I could get a refund (Deposit was £75) and more than a week later I am still waiting. No one is replying to my emails, I have to call Italia Conti to chase them for a refund and keep having the same answer that it has been forwarded to the accountants. I am annoyed as I should have read more carefully the terms before paying anything, that is my bad at 100%. But the fact that they are keeping my money at the moment with no reason what so ever is a disgrace. For the second time I was told that they've sent a message to their finance that should receive it next Monday. I am now stuck without that money and unable to apply for another course. One thing is for sure that I will not enroll with them seeing how they are dealing with people.
Italia Conti saved my life in the 1980's and I shall always be grateful for the 40 year, never out of work career it gave me. Thank You.
Italia Conti in the 1980's, I went to Goswell Rd one part time back then. I remember doing the singing with tutor playing piano there. I found it fun and wish I could get those days back again and wished I could have gone full time but didnt have the funding to be able to. Have fun while you can as it will soon be gone and will find yourselves much older like me now.
