   i did not attend govan high school but my wife did attend. i went to st,gerards. my wifes name was MAE MURRAY. she lived in golspie st.govan. we met at the locarno on sauchiehall street. love at first sight. we were married 8 months later. on september 2nd 1961.mae was 20 i was19. we had 2 children.boy and a girl. mae i think went to govan high around 1953 to 1957. i played against govan high quite a few times . and i am sure against alex ferguson and also against the mackinnon brothers. mae and i immigrated to canada in 1976 to st, catharines in ontario ten minutes from niagara falls. mae was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991..after three years of treatment she died on the 24th july 1994 at the age 53. we did have 2 grand children also. so if anyone remembers mae let me know. i was in glasgow in april this year. have been back quite afew times.

   I hated the GHS the teachers paid more attention to the clever ones while people like myself had to plod along,also when it came to football you were never picked to play cause you were not good enough although you wanted to play.Leaving Greenfiled Primary School 1954 was the saddest part of my school days.
