We are US parents of a kiddo (male, age 20) currently attending Edusport Academy on the 9-month program. We cannot say enough AMAZING things about Edusport Academy!! At first it was really hard to find reviews or any legitimized information on the business. Also, as I kept digging, I would find "other" reviews of another sports companies (edusports academy, edu sport usa, edu sport international etc....) and NONE of these is "Edusport Academy" of Glasgow Scotland. So if you se negative comments, please read carefully, it's not about this company! I'll also tell you I emailed the Scottish Consulate, the US Embassy and a local Glasgow Consulate trying to get validation of this business. The ridiculous answers were that they did not deal with local business info/validation (??!!). Soooo.....I had to rely on other factors (website, social media, personal stories). But Edusport also gave us the # of a current US player on the Caledonian Braves to talk to, which helped a lot! Chris Ewing's multiple videos & appearances on news & social media was also a huge indication of validity. OK, now the the good stuff! WORTH EVERY PENNY. We spent $28k on a Freshman year of college (on "scholarship"!) and it was a waste compared to this program! - just over $20k USD for 9-months - dorm room included (clean! see details below) - $1500 grocery-shopping card included (info below) - uniforms included (multiple outfits for different weather conditions!) - abundance of staff (nutritionist, medical, multiple coaches, in addition to the administrative support AND Chris himself works with the boys also - SAFE environment - they coach on more than just soccer (becoming a responsible young man) - an incredible travel opportunity along with BETTER soccer training and play than offered in the US It's kind-of a no-brainer for US aspiring kids who are serious about soccer (FOOTBALL) & also it's a great opportunity for these kids to travel abroad SAFELY and gain incredible life experiences. Our kid isn't 'a Messi' but he's really good...he was just getting lost in the mix of the thousands of aspiring players in the US & in NCAA+NAIA colleges. Here, he's getting personalized coaching and TIME from the coaches and staff. Dorms are 2-per room but it's like a single room, each with it's own full-bed, desk, drawers, wardrobe & lots of shelves for storage. A big dividing all between the 2 rooms & these 2 share a bathroom. Dorms have a gated car access, a 24hr desk inside a security door (must be buzzed in or use key-card) with a 2nd key-access door before elevators, and another key-card door up at your room. 6 people (3 x rooms) share a kitchen & living common area. It's very clean and the nicest 'dorm' I've ever seen (vs. US colleges)! $1500 (gbp) goes on a grocery card (given bi-monthly in segments) and they have guidance from the Nutritionist that should see they make that 1500 last the whole 9-mo. EXTRA personal spending is not included - and the boys do go out & hang together sometimes on weekends, plus personal toiletries & personal items are at your own expense. We found $50/week more than gets our 20-yr old by just fine. Education (included/online study) - kids get courses with the Johan Cruyff Institute. Sports Management, Sports Leadership, Sports Data Analytics....and about 15 other courses (non-English speaking kids take English courses). Already (1-week in to the program) they are posting pics on IG of group outings together (club arranged) and practices. We see our kid in a lot of photos - this has not happened before when he was away at college, we got TWO terrible pics the whole time he was away Freshman year. Chris Ewing is an amazing person, he has kids of his own & will speak to you personally to reassure you he's looking after your kid. He is involved with the Academy, even though he also runs the Caledonian Braves Football Team as well as travels to the 2nd Academy site in Malta. Truly an inspirational man and what an incredible opportunity he's created for young Sport-Enthusiasts!

I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to experience this unique season at the academy! My goal in joining the academy was to discover a new culture, another country, and a different mentality surrounding football. I particularly appreciated the quality of the training sessions provided by our coaches, as well as the seriousness and commitment shown during drills and matches. The Scottish league is a fantastic league, true to the image of British football: competitive, intense, and sometimes physical. This experience allowed me to improve my game: I was able to maintain the technique I acquired in France while developing the tactical discipline, physical intensity, and mental strength necessary for high-intensity matches. Outside of football, we also had time to explore this magnificent country. Glasgow and Edinburgh are fascinating cities, and the Scottish landscapes, like Loch Lomond just 20-30 minutes from Glasgow, are breathtaking. This year has opened up numerous opportunities, both professionally and academically. Initially, I was supposed to attend an American college after this experience, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed my plans. I continued my studies in France, notably thanks to the diploma I earned at the Johan Cruyff Institute. Today, I am enrolled in a Master's program in Sport Business Management at Win Sport School. Thanks to this enriching experience, as well as the improvement in my English, I have been able to develop within the sports events sector, create my own company, and hold positions of responsibility at major events such as the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Tour de France, the Paris Marathon, and many other cycling races.

Academy integrated in 2018-2019. She does not sell dreams and explains that the primary goal is not to be a professional footballer, but favors several points such as experience abroad, the pace of an athlete (invisible work, football, gym), the academic aspect as well... everything comes together to have a pleasant year if you give yourself the means. It's an investment in yourself

I attended the Edusport Academy during the 2022-2023 season. The Academy taught me a lot, obviously football-wise, where I developed enormously with qualified coaches who listen attentively and seek the best in their players. They know how to bring out the best in each player. But Edusport isn't just about football; it's a real life experience. First, the school. The English classes allowed me to become bilingual, and I really enjoyed going to class because the teachers have a very different methodology than in France. But the most significant thing was being away from my family; I went from a young boy to an adult. Knowing how to manage yourself and manage a budget makes us responsible, and we rediscover the importance of doing things well. Furthermore, it's a culturally rich country with magnificent landscapes, so it's very easy to enrich yourself culturally and discover wonderful things, especially since museums are free in Scotland. My year at Edusport Academy was one of the best years of my life, filled with wonderful encounters, doing something I love deeply, and learning a lot in every way. I recommend Edusport Academy to all young people who want to experience an unforgettable year, full of learning.

Money thieves, they can ruin a family. You pay, you do your season and you leave, no follow-up after studies whether you are good or not.

A great waste of time and money.
