   I had such a great experience here! Coach Taron was amazing — really encouraging, supportive, and great at breaking down the foundations in a way that actually sticks and simple to understand. I had a lot of fun learning skills that go beyond acting; so much of what we did feels useful in everyday life and other industries too. Even if you’re not aiming for the film or entertainment world, acting training like this is honestly so valuable. Highly recommend!

   I am currently doing the professional acting programme and I’m loving every minute! Having Tharan as my teacher was the best thing for me, I believe he has had a massive difference to my acting ability and always gives praise and constructive criticism (if needed) in a professional and calming manner. His teaching style is brilliant, up-to-date with industry standards and he always gives his all in every class. I believe he is one of the best in the industry and I couldn’t recommend him enough! Julie is so professional and answers any questions I have both swiftly and kindly. She’s so good at handling bookings making sure to accommodate any dates or timings I need and she always sends scripts across promptly so I have plenty of time to memorise them. I'm looking forward to what the team brings next and I look forward to working with them all in the future!

   Julie and Tharan are amazing! Julie is so nice; whenever I write to her to cancel or reschedule my classes, she responds incredibly quickly, and even if I have any questions, she's always available to answer them. I just finished my four-week screen acting course with Tharan, and I'm so grateful for his excellent work! Working with Tharan made a huge difference to my acting and definitely improved my skills. His teaching method is brilliant, he always goes an extra mile, and I can honestly say he's one of the best acting coach I've ever had! I'm already looking forward to my next course (I love them all!) and I'll recommend SPS without hesitation.

   I have just completed my 4-week Theatre acting course with Tharan. It has been an absolute joy to attend this course each week. I'm 62 years old and have always wanted to act, so I thought I'd give it a try. Tharan is a very patient, caring and inclusive and wanted only the best for me. I learned so much during the past four weeks, and I feel able to use those skills with confidence. I recommend Southside Performance Studio and I would particularly recommend it to anyone in their later years, like me, who have never acted before and have always fancied acting. It's good for memory, confidence and brings joy and positivity. It has for me anyway. Well, it must be good, as I travel 2 and a half hours there and 2 and a half hours back to get there and I have a great day out in Glasgow. I am very grateful to Tharan for his kindness and help. He loves what he does. Next stop for me - Screen Acting. I'm looking forward to carrying on my acting journey with Southside Performance Studio. From the theatre acting course I managed to get a part as a member of the community choir, in An Edinburgh Christmas Carol, and had the most amazing time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

   Training at Southside Performance Studio has been a positive experience for me, I've grown greatly as an Artist and I could not thank Tharan and Julie enough! I completed the Beginners, Screen and Stage Acting courses. As well as more recently their Theatre Production course where I was taught a straightforward approach covering the Fundamentals of Acting for both Screen and Stage. I also thoroughly enjoyed the General American accent course with Tharan and 121 Singing lessons with Julie! Both Tharan and Julie are exceptionally talented professionals who genuinely care about your progress as a student. One of the things I love about their teaching style is their genuine interest and care in each and every student’s potential - I’ve been able to build my confidence back up, largely in part, due to their encouraging and uplifting coaching style. I can honestly say I left every class feeling better and looking forward to the next! Thank you for providing a safe and welcoming space for everyone!

   I was quite anxious as a beginner looking to get into acting but Tharan instantly put me at ease with how friendly and approachable he is. I come away from lessons motivated, encouraged and feeling like I've learned something new every time.    I've finished "Public Speaking" course with Tharan & Julie and I feel like this was exactly what I needed to boost my confidence and progress with my projects. Simple, effective and thorough advice by these 2 amazing coaches made such difference! Only in 4 weeks they made my true personality and character come out and shine!    Southside Performance Studio classes have been one of the highlights of my year! I have thoroughly enjoyed their 'RP/ Standard English' accent course, 'Screen Acting' course, 'Theatre Production' course and looking forward to their 'Short Film Production' course. Tharan is an excellent acting coach with a wealth of knowledge and experience. He is also very supportive, answers and explains everything so clearly and is really good at making concepts relatable to aid my understanding. I can't thank him enough for teaching me to how to open up and exercise part of my voice I've never used before which really helps with stage acting performances and also projecting my voice in everyday life. Tharan and Julie have filmed and edited clips for my showreel and provided me with advice and a good grounding for pursuing any adventures in acting. Tharan and Julie are extremely professional, friendly, accommodating and are purely focused on helping you improve. It is clear that they both love what they do and provide a relaxed, comfortable learning environment for their clients to also enjoy the arts as much as they do. Extremely grateful for all their effort and their fantastic services. I would highly recommend Southside Performance Studio to anyone!
