   So called "Counsellor" was very unprofessional in that she continually made biased judgemental statements and also made numerous unsubstantiated accusations re my partner whom she seemed to have an issue with. This organisation was previously based in Dundas Street when they were called Couple Counselling, where their lack of professionalism led to a letter of apology from the "counsellor" being issued. Had I known it was the same organisation, I would never have registered with them, especially since they haven`t improved over the last 15 years. One wonders about the training the "counsellors" receive, who are the providers and who does the supervision, if indeed they receive any?

   Put in my counselling application 4 months ago and was told that I would hear from a member of their team soon (I never did), I have emailed twice since then to get an update of where I am on the waitlist and still no response. Don’t use this place

   Only experience of them is that their admin staff don't pick up the phone and they don't call you back. How can you have work with an organisation that does that?

   Great service. Affordable, great communication. If I could give them 6 stars I would. For the 10 months I was seeing a therapist at Bright Light I felt in very safe hands.

   I've only dealt with Bright Light online, and I've been incredibly disappointed and disillusioned by the experience. The counsellor I was paired with has been great to speak to, and genuinely empathic and understanding, but it's been incredibly difficult to communicate with Bright Light, to get the correct log in details for appointments, and to get further information from the actual organisation themselves. It can take extremely long periods of time to get any response at all, and for people dealing with mental health issues, it's really unacceptable to give such an uncaring and unprofessional impression with such poor communication. I will not be continuing my therapy with this organisation.
