   Great experience with the staff at First Mortgage who have arranged my mortgage for me. Both Stuart Williams and Maryann Vaughan were extremely helpful and very professional carrying out their jobs. Maryann promised to give regular progress updates while the offer was in progress and kept her promise while Stuart's advice including financial planning around mortgage deals were invaluable to the process. They made the process a very easy experience for me.

   Stuart and Maryann were absolutely amazing — so helpful and incredibly quick with communication throughout the whole process. Stuart is a genuinely kind person who went out of his way to accommodate us and secure the best deal for our situation, all within a very short period of time. Maryann was always on the ball with communication, keeping us updated and answering all of our questions promptly and clearly. My partner and I have just bought our first house, and we always heard how stressful the process could be. However, with the First Mortgages team at the Tollcross branch, it was not stressful at all — it was actually a very easy and straightforward process to follow. A huge thank you to Stuart and Maryann for all their help, support, and reliability. We couldn’t be more grateful!

   Started my mortgage journey through First Mortgage at Edinburgh West End however they weren't really attenuative and didnt really explain the mortgage application process clearly (as someone who was completely new to the process this was not ideal) I then moved to the Toll cross branch and they were a bit better however my first advisor didn't really reply to my emails and when when i wasn't getting a response i phoned the office to then be advised he left the company which i wasn't best pleased with as i was looking for the new amount i could borrow due to my salary increasing. However Stuart took me on as his client and was very helpful. Along with Maryann they were able to explain things that werent clear to me and took me through the post acceptance process. Thank you Stuart and Maryann. If you have a bit spare cash and arent new to mortgages then i would recommend spending that extra on a Mortgage advisor however if not then i would definitely recommend them if its a good Branch. I would probably give 3 starts for my experience with First Mortgage as a whole however the Toll Cross branch i would give 4 stars.

This time round was no different, Stuart and Maryanne helped us navigate securing a mortgage deal and gave great advise regarding a tricky job situation at the time which was really appreciated!    I first contacted the company almost 2 years ago. Although I attempted several bids, none of them were successful, therefore I was constantly jumping in and then pulling off mortgage discussions, yet Steven remained helpful from the beginning until the end. Maryann joined us when a property worth attention came up. Both, Maryann and Steven did great to patiently pull all the information needed, to have the mortgage confirmed. Thank you!

   First Mortgage have made the whole mortgage process so easy. We are second time buyers and also used First Mortgage for our first purchase a couple of years ago. We were impressed with the service then and are even more impressed now. Craig at the Tollcross branch was so quick to respond, from getting us in for our follow up appointment the day after our offer was accepted to clearly explaining the affordability checks and additional insurances we could take out. Abby was also incredibly helpful, sending over really clear updates and responding to our multiple queries almost immediately. We will 100% work with First Mortgage when we need to remortgage and for future moves. There is not a single thing that I can fault.

The initial meeting with Craig was very informative, then once we had an offer accepted he was very efficient and helpful in applying for the mortgage and gave me confidence in his recommendations. Maryann was also very helpful and responsive, giving us frequent updates and allowing us to quickly get the mortgage approval.
