Shocking service. Contacted them to help with buying a new build property in September, everything was smooth at first, was told my case was being passed onto the conveyancing team on 24th October and they'd be in contact in 7-14 days. 31 days later I've not heard from them at all. Have rang multiple times only to be told the conveyancing team is busy every time, and they will email them to call me back - except no one has ever actually called me back! Really dissatisfied with the complete lack of communication - I do understand that things take time but to have absolutely no correspondence during such a stressful time period is just completely unacceptable. Wouldn't recommend them for purchasing a house.

Cannot recommend McDougall McQueen highly enough. From start to finish they were excellent - highly communicative and supportive throughout the entire sales process. Special mentions to Angela, Caroline and Susan who were consumate professionals throughout and left us feeling very well looked after during a complicated process - but the whole team was amazing. Thank you.

From putting the house on the market to the day of sale. The experience was made smooth and a lot easier thanks to mcdougal McQueen. Any questions or queries we had were answered swiftly. Special mention to the solicitor dealing with our case, extremely good.

Shannon Ronaldson, Solicitor, Elizabeth MacNab, Trainee Solicitor and Julia Scott, Purchase Manager lead us through the entire purchase of our new flat and were absolutely brilliant. Seamless handovers across the teammembers, timely management of endeavours and very responsive and forthcoming throughout. Thank you!

I had a really positive experience with McDougall McQueen when buying my flat. From start to finish, the solicitors were clear, efficient, and approachable. They explained the process in plain language, kept me updated regularly, and were always quick to respond to any questions I had. Everything was handled smoothly, with no unnecessary delays, which made the whole experience far less stressful than I expected. I felt well supported throughout and confident that everything was being taken care of properly. I’d happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable solicitor when purchasing a property.

Would highly recommend McDougall McQueen for selling our old house and buying our new home. We dealt with Sylvia for selling our property and Susan Oats dealt with the conveyancing side. Both were amazing. Susan was very thorough during the whole process which proved to be complex through other external factors. Susan was reassuring and contactable whenever we needed any clarification. We really valued being able to contact Susan and Sylvia with ease and always received a prompt response. This I believe from talking to others is not the case with other solicitors/firms. I would not hesitate to recommend McDougall McQueen and particularly the expertise of Sylvia and Susan. Any other member of staff that we dealt with were also excellent and very approachable.

Excellent service from start to finish. I was kept continually updated via email and phone on the progress of my sale. My contact was Susan Oates and I cannot fault her professional and friendly manner and providing me with reassurance during a very stressful time. Costs were extremely competitive and I would have no hesitation recommending McDougall McQueen and Susan Oates to family and friends. Thank you.

Not recommended if you have foreign funds while buying a property. We were initially told that it was no problem to have foreign funds and McDougall McQueen seemed very helpful in preparing the proof of our flow of funds from abroad. Then two days before the closing date of the property we were interested in they all of a sudden pulled out, citing that our funds where too much for them to deal with. We were communicating with them for more than two weeks, they knew about our composition of funds from the start and never mentioned this to us. Because of their poor communication we were unable to make an offer on the property that we were interested in.

Excellent service from start to finish. Stress free process and continually updated by staff. The final conveyancing was very professionally completed. My normal solicitor was too busy to arrange the sale for me and he recommended McDougall McQueen. Overall a highly professional service from start to finish.

Unfortunately our experience with McDougall McQueen was extremely poor. We purchased a property from them and they ignored our solicitor for weeks. Eventually, 2 days before we were due to settle, someone finally got back to our solicitor and we were told that the original paralegal who had been dealing with the case was on holiday and none of the relevant reports or paperwork had been completed. There were multiple issues of lack of communication resulting in them being unaware of a change in purchase price and also when we eventually got keys the property was still furnished even though our solicitor had stated to them that we wanted the furniture removed however like multiple other things they didn’t pass this information on to their client. If this is what they’re like when buying a property from them I couldn’t recommend using them to purchase.
