No upfront costs provided by the Solicitor and this should have sounded the alarm bells. Final fee was extortionate and inappropriate in relation to my parents estate. It doubled within 2 weeks of receiving estimate and no proper breakdown provided. Took 9/10 months for work to be completed despite being advised on various occasions it would take 6 months. Letters went missing; repeated communication issues; inconsistencies surrounding advice given and outcomes; Solicitor kept hold of family inheritance as long as possible and unavailable majority of time and family ended up dealing primarily with Paralegal who was lovely but not always fully informed. Not a professional environment in my opinion. I certainly won't use them for any future legal work.

Just terrible. Takes so long and extremely expensive. Solicitor doesn't ever call you. Had to wait on numerous occasions for call backs and information changed consistently. Business conducted in Reception in front of people. Utterly unprofessional. Note one man band out for all they can get!!! Look elsewhere.

I have had occasion to you McWhinnie Richards solicitors in Airdrie twice now and cannot praise the two solicitors who dealt with me, Cheryl Brown and Bruce Wilkie, enough. I was given excellent advice and they spoke me through the two procedures which have now been completed to my complete satisfaction. I would most certainly recommend them to anyone and in fact have already recommended them to some of my friends. Who thanked me for telling them about McWhinnie Richard. Thank you so much.

Fantastic family solicitor who understood my requirements as a non-legal aid client and wasn't just looking to extract money and force us into court. Should I need such assistance in the future then this firm would be my first port of call!
