Burness Paull's Vincent Chung represented us on a somewhat involved immigration matter over the course of several years. He was proactive, knowledgeable, thorough, intelligent and unfailingly responsive and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Vincent and his firm for immigration work.

We had the pleasure of working with Vincent Chung as our immigration lawyer, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, Vincent approached our case with such genuine care and professionalism that we immediately felt we were in safe hands. Our situation was time-sensitive and emotionally charged—we needed to acquire a spouse visa within a very short period of time because our baby was due to be born. What could have been a stressful and overwhelming process turned into something smooth and manageable, thanks to Vincent’s expert guidance and clear communication. He was incredibly responsive, thorough, and organised every step of the way. Vincent made sure we understood exactly what was needed, handled all the complexities of the paperwork, and always kept us reassured throughout the process. His understanding of our unique situation truly set him apart. Thanks to his help, everything was processed in time. We’re forever grateful for his support and cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone navigating immigration matters! Trisha & Neil

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and support I received from the immigration lawyers at Burness Paull LLP. A special thanks goes to Chloe, who was my solicitor, as well as to Grace McGill and Roisin. My case with the Home Office and Passport Office was very complex, but they handled it with remarkable knowledge, resilience, and attention to detail. Despite the challenges, they remained confident and assured me throughout that we would succeed—and they did. That assurance gave me immense relief during a very difficult time. Their kindness, professionalism, and support were outstanding. I also want to highlight their excellent communication skills. Unlike other firms where responses could take days or weeks, Chloe, Grace, and Roisin—especially Chloe—always responded within a day, and often within hours. That level of care and responsiveness meant a great deal to me. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, my case was won. I cannot thank them enough, and I wish them continued success. I strongly recommend Burness Paull LLP to anyone dealing with the Home Office or immigration matters. They are highly respected and reputable in the immigration and nationality field throughout Scotland, as well as with the Home Office, and in my experience, among the very best. Ahmed

I called them to see if they would look into my legal case. I’m totally disappointed with the team — they seem uninterested in my case because my business is too small. I believe they only focus on wealthy clients with unlimited cash

I wouldn't recommend this company at all.. I have applied for few visas(student visa/spouse visa) where I used Amna Ashra as my solicitor and she was extremely professional, helping outside working hours where she could to make sure the file was genuine before submitting it and unfortunately the company Amna Ashraf worked for had merged with Business Paull and that time for the renewal of my visas, it was disgusting the way that company used me to grab more money(an extra £4300 + VAT on top of the actual cost £8600 which was already high but used Ukraine and covid situation as an excuse) from me. So after several times approaching them to get visa process started, they mentioned to me it was too early(1 month before) to contact back like in a week and after doing so I was told to contact again in couple of days therefore left everything to the last 2 weeks before my visa expired and actually submitting everything for the renewal. So during the process they asked usual information which was sent to them and after few days didn't here anything from them so asked if they needed anything else and to my surprise I was told the agent that was on my case was on holidays so I asked then who was dealing with my case and they told me that they will get another agent on it now and the agent asked the.same information which I was quite frustrated as all these documents were already sent to the other one so therefore send it again and same situation, after few days I phoned to check if they needed anything else from me and I was then told that this agent was off sick so they then passed me onto another agent who asked the same documents again and there was only 2 days left before my visa expired.. the day before the expiry of my visa they phone to tell me that they have had to do so overtime on my case that they need me to approve on the email they sent that I agree with the extra cost(£4300 + VAT) so that they can proceed with submitting the application, knowing that I would have no choice than say yes as otherwise I would be illegal in the country and might risked starting the procedure again. Today I am writing again as I approached another solicitor in Glagow who has great reviews and to my surprise the total cost of the application(including solicitor cost) came to nearly £4000 in total which was half the normal cost of Burness Paull but this solicitor was straight to the point and asked what was needed and everything went through so smooth. I now have my PR and so glad I didn't go through Burness Paull
