Utter disgrace, pre-booked a cab for 1am then no communication, called 5 mins after pick-up time to be met with ‘it’s new year, it’s busy’ to which I said ‘ that’s why I pre-booked’ .. called back 10 mins later after continued communication void, this time operator’s attitude even worse.. Called a third time and got someone a bit more sensible then eventually taxi came about 20 mins after pre-booked time..all could have been sorted with just an update or two.

Picked up for airport destination, I’m a 74 year old with mobility issues & arthritis in my hands . Driver didn’t get out of his seat to assist in any way . I climbed into a 6 seater by myself with difficulty while trying to manage a small carry on case . Once seated , he just shouted “ door seatbelt “ , I tried several times to close the sliding door while perched on the end of the seat & still securing my luggage case . Due to the lack of strength in my arthritic hands,I couldn’t close the door.I asked him “ Maybe you would like to get out and do this “ . It was met with an obvious sigh . The rest of the journey was completed in total silence, radio on in order to avoid any interaction. At the airport, he opened the door for me & that was the extent of his help. It was the most unpleasant journey that I have experienced. He really didn’t give a good example of a Scottish welcome. This is a firm to avoid.

Booked a taxi to take us from West End to Southside with a stop to pick our puppy up from a house a couple of streets away. The operator agreed this was no issue. When we got in the taxi we confirmed with the driver and when we got to the pick up house, he refused and cited that he knew nothing about this and suddenly had an allergy. Upon calling the office, we were told another taxi could be sent out to us (but the operator made sure to tell us they were very busy and cannot give a time) as we stand in the pouring rain. Then when I complained and said this is not good enough, we were verbally abused on the phone and told to walk. We knew Mearns Taxis were going downhill but they sank below the lowest estimations. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Following emergency visit to vets I asked the receptionist to book a taxi to take me home . She was told my Eastwood Mearns that one was on its way. I went outside in the freezing cold to wait carrying my very small Yorkie. After about 20 minutes taxi arrived, driver partially wound down his window and asked if I had a dog. I said yes and he replied that I should have told them that when I booked. I didn’t know this but was offering to wrap her in a towel as he was winding up the window and driving away with me speaking to a closed window. Back into vets and asked to phone again mentioning that I had a dog. Was then told 4 minutes wait. Back outside for another 20 minutes. Next taxi arrived but with a different name for pick up. A total disaster. It doesn’t seem a bit stretch to expect that the call handler on taking a call from a vets surgery might at least ask if the customer had an animal. Terrible company. Would never use again

Arrived on time. Good clear, safe, friendly drive to airport and £15 cheaper than white cab on return.

Shocking. Booked a family pick up on Xmas day. Arrived on time. We then stacked the boot with presents as we loaded car with 2 children, 2 adults and 1 small dog. Driver then got out said he ‘can’t take a dog’, threw us out of car and tried to drive away with our property in boot of car! Only the closed gate of house stopped him leaving with out our property (but not us, as booked). Still shocked and thinking about next steps…

The driver arrived quickly but stopped to get petrol which put the fare up and a charge of £5.40 waiting time was added. I never tip because there is always a waiting charge even if there is no waiting and you don’t know about it until the receipt has been emailed.

My husband booked a taxi an hour in advance for 7.15pm. At 7.15 we saw that a driver hadn’t even been assigned to our booking. We called to ask for an estimated time for the taxi but didn’t get last the first line of the conversation before the male call handler laughed loudly down the phone . His response ‘It’s a busy Friday night MATE.. doesn’t matter if you booked three weeks ago or an hour ago!’ When asked when we could expect a car his response was ‘whenever they’re a one available!’ We had booked and paid in full in advance. Taxi arrived at 7.30pm . We were late. The driver was very polite and friendly . The guy who took the phone call should attend some course on customer relations. Incredibly rude , condescending and arrogant. We will use another company from now on.
