My name is Jana Shae, and I’m proud to say I studied at Access Creative College. During my time at ACC, studying a Vocal artist level 3 course, I gained valuable skills and qualities that I now use every day in both my creative work and personal life. The staff were always supportive, and being part of such an ambitious, like-minded community really helped me build confidence in myself as an artist and as an individual. With their support, I was also able to achieve amazing grades — something I’m truly proud of. I also want to show some appreciation for Shane Anderson, who always believed in me and played such a big role in my growth. I highly recommend Access Creative College to anyone looking for an inspiring and supportive place to develop their skills and pursue their creative passions.

I attended this college as a student on the Vocal Artist Level 3 course from sept 2023- July 2025, and it was amazing, in my opinion. The staff were lovely, especially Shane Anderson and John Bergin, who were the most incredible and supportive tutors who very clearly cared about their students and our success in performances and assignments. I though the facilities in this campus, which was brand new when I started, were very good, most notably the practice rooms and the ground floor performance space, and I think as part of the facilities/equipment topic its important to note that all the computers used for production and music were Macs, which s very impressive. I loved the performance lessons and frequent shows that the college held, which I felt really helped to make me grow as an artist and performer, and I was able to access and experience some phenomenal opportunities during my time studying here; two opportunities included a two week volunteering trip in Cape Town, South Africa (which I can say with full honesty changed me as a person), and the chance to perform a 30 minute set at this year's Wireless Festival. Overall, I feel like the college has only improved since the new campus was established, and I'd highly recommend any aspiring musicians or artists attend this institution.

This college promises the students everything and they get nothing except a badly run college with no facilities. High staff turnover because the college is so bad that even the tutors don't want to be there. Badly run. A complete waste of time for my 17 year old in yr 2. If I could report it I would but I dont know where. Don't send your kids here it will depress them and you and waste your and their time. If I could give zero stars I would.

College is so bad, any course other than music, is underfunded and under cared for, and any complaints always fall upon deaf ears. I advise you go to sixth form to be honest :). I wish I did

1 star. lowest i can give, wish i could put 0. been stuck here 3 years and honestly it’s a total waste of time. teachers care more about what they’re having for lunch than actually teaching, and 99% of the time they’re just moaning about politics instead of doing their jobs it’s so weird. they’re always in a mood, act greedy, and make it feel like students don’t matter. facilities are old, classes are pointless, and the whole thing is just a mess. i feel like i’ve wasted years here and got nothing useful out of it.

Went to this ‘college’ for 2 years of my life. Wasted two years of my life writing pointless essays about basic stuff in the music industry, things that they teach in secondary school. Teacher’s don’t really care about deadlines being met and rarely engage with the students during lessons. Furthermore, every lesson is the same. They’ll bring up a powerpoint which has been rinsed and repeated over the years and will proceed to vaguely skim through the slides with spelling mistakes resulting in a vague essay that we have to complete. I genuinely think that they let everyone into this college for music since the “talent” that some students have is mind blowing. There’s no consistency with the hours you have. One day you’ll go in at 9:00am and finish at 1:30pm. The next day you’ll go in at 9:00am and finish at 5:30pm. Massive gaps in between lesson for breaks, which in my mind is a waste of time. Pros about it however, is that you meet a diverse group of people around London/Essex. Overall, I personally have learnt nothing from going to this college for two years and would’ve bettered myself if I went to a sixth form that actually had a useful qualification. So if you’re considering going here. Please reconsider and go somewhere else like a sixth form, which has an education that would value your future.

College is more like a youth club, for someone like me about to finish my third year I can most definitely say that I’ve wasted at least half my time there. Every year there’s a different problem and every year the students get the short end of the stick and half to adapt to new situations almost every week, whether it’s a new teacher, a deadline being pushed back or a surprise assignment that’ll be due the following week, there’s always an issue with access creative college.

Great mix of teachers, many with 'real life' jobs in the music industry, so you're getting a very real education on how to make it in the business. Budgets are tight though, so it still needs more funding. Some students don't really want to be there, or are just there to keep them off the streets, and they can be disruptive to the rest.

Most staff are very genuine and helpful and have a lot of experience. Just finished a two year level 3 course and got the grades to go onto a music uni in Bristol so am very pleased overall. Have learned a lot and although some things were a tad unorganised, I thoroughly enjoyed my two years here and would recommend for a student leaving GCSEs who is really driven to become a musician!

Still waiting for my sons 2018 exam results, 2 weeks after exam results were released, just keep being fobbed off by Access to Music who, don't seem to care if my son loses his university place, and can't explain why the results haven't been released
