   Avoid at all costs. Unreliable and terrible customer service. I never usually leave reviews but my experience with this company was so, so bad that I feel justified in my one star review. Long story short, the woman on the phone is cheeky, the taxi didn't come after an hour of waiting, and I learned two valuable lessons: 1) Always book with someone else and 2) The phrase “it won’t be long” is a downright lie. Save yourself the hassle. Call literally anyone else. Or walk.

   Worst taxi company I've ever had to experience. I dont normally leave reviews for anything but they're so bad I had to. They'll take your booking and when you call back an hour later to ask how long it might be they'll tell you, you're next and it won't be long. When you call back half an hour after that, to ask so that you can (try) and make alternative plans if required, they'll give you attitude. This has happened more than once or I wouldn't have bothered with the review. Just be honest, tell people what the genuine waiting time is so they can make a decision/plan and don't work in a customer services role if its not for you. Its the lying about how long you have to wait that gets you.

   I booked a people carrier well in advance for a special event and the taxi never arrived. I phoned Cross Cabs to see what was happening and they said that there were no available taxis at the moment and they would get another one out. It seemed as though they had completely forgotten about my booking. I waited another 10 mins and still had no text or confirmation so I cancelled the taxi. I am extremely disappointed as this made me over 30 mins late for a special event and I had pre-booked the taxi.

   Booked a 6 seater from Glasgow Airport to home for 5 of us with 5 cases, which I made clear at the time of booking. Taxi arrived - saloon with extra seating and room for max 2 cases. Phoned Cross Cabs to be told they send the vehicle that is “most suitable for the job” After some cross words about the car NOT being suitable for the job, was asked if I wanted a second car to be sent. Told them not willing to pay for 2 cars when the mistake was theirs. No alternative solution offered, so we were left to make alternative arrangements. It’s obvious it’s no longer the reliable, local company it used to be - they answer the phone as City Cabs and the car we were sent was Deuce Private Hire.

   Called last nite and booked taxi for 7am this morning. No taxi by 7.30am and I had a bus to catch from Buchanan Street bus station. Two chase up calls later woman on phone said that driver was dropping off in Kirkintilloch and she didn’t know when taxi would arrive. When I suggested trying other taxi firms she agreed. Couldn’t get a taxi anywhere else at such short notice so ended up driving and parking in town. Received a call from irate woman saying taxi arrived @ 8am. What use is that? 40 minutes late. Why take a booking nite before if it can’t be honoured, also why not contact customer to advise no taxi available for time booked? Very poor unprofessional service and I won’t be using again.
