Extremely unorganised. Communication is poor for students and parents. It is a shame as the facilities in the Animal management is quite decent with a large selection of animals. Lecturers never respond to any queries or concerns. There appears to be no duty of care. Finish times are all over the place, from what could be a 4pm finish could actually mean 11am onwards. This is not ideal for those that rely on public transport or family members by car. In particular those that work and have no clue most of the time when their child is due to start and finish. It is quite a rural location and this makes it very difficult for students/parents to work around when the times are not consistent. Some days to find out that a Lecturer is off sick so they can go home. After 1-2 hours of travelling to get there!

A very pleasant visit to their lambing day event. Lots to see and do. Superbly friendly and helpful and knowledgeable staff and students.

I would’ve given no stars if it was possible! I went to this college and they’re so unaware of mental health and don’t care about students just the money, they removed me for my mental health so due to a ‘disability’ I couldn’t get an education. The horses aren’t well looked after either. Wouldn’t waste your time with this college.

My daughter has done a bachelors degree in animal management university course here, but it’s extremely badly organised with poor facilities . She’s being taught by college teachers rather than university lecturers. Travelling from home 2 hours to the college to find out teachers haven’t turned up and have a standing teacher that has no idea what’s going on was a regularly occurrence which has wasted a lot of valuable time over the three years. Tutors aren’t particularly helpful and are not to university standards, think twice before enrolling on a university course at this slightly rundown college.

Visited for the lambing weekend. Clearly great facilities for a school / college but this event just had too many visitors to be a pleasant experience. Long queues for everything, difficult to see anything because of the crowds and really very little to do with lambs...
