Used Doree Bonner mid Oct for a house move. First time using a removal company and it was everything I’d expect. From office staff to the personnel who arrived on the day of the move, they were all fantastic and I was surprised by the care taken over my possessions during the actual move. I’d definitely use them again.
It took the team a number of days to pack and load, they seemed very proficient and professional. However two boxes have been lost and some damage sustained to belongings. The team did not highlight these damages, at the time. nor upon return. I have been querying the loss and damages with Bonners from the morning after my belongs were returned in April. They are saying a particular box was never loaded. As it was labelled as 'Misc' rather than Jewlelry, which their team checked & confirmed they had loaded when questiobed at the start of the first day. Yet. I was not given the opportunity to pack this item for storage myself, nor given the opportuning to keepthe box. Or have it tetrieved from the lorry. I've learnt that the description of personal belongings listed by Bonners team are vitally important, They demand a signature on the final day at the last minute for all the boxes and items removed. And again when returned. No opportunity to open check the listings properly or open the boxes to check everything has been returned. Then the use of these documents to disassociate themselves from responsibility. Bonners team chose to box my family jewlery under, 'MISC', They should have clearly listed as a jewlery box. They should have offered me the option to pack myself or keep, this is part of their contact to the client. I have suffered a great loss. Having placed my trust in Bonners and their team, been ignored for months to be told, it was never packed. I have no option but to seek legal advice on the loss and damages. Your respinse is merely a platatude! As your respinse to all other troubling reviews. Your managenent have no intention of reviewing, making very clear they will not be held responsible. How many of your clients have had a positive conclusion to loss or damage?
Final cost was 5x original estimate and shipment arrived minus one box. Took another 2 months to be told I could not claim for insurance as I stupidly signed the paperwork - now missing £550 worth of goods on top of a £5000 removal! Had previous good service with the company but they have been a massive waste of time and money since.
I just got the packing done in Edinburgh today! The guys were really good, aced it. They made a highly stressful job look so quick and easy, I highly recommend using their service.
Excellent service. The removers were polite, friendly and hard working. We moved from Glasgow to London and very impressed with the service. We were given time to get to London ourselves. It was a three day process and couldn’t be happier with how smoothly the move went. Highly recommend.
We moved from Glasgow to Norwich. We asked for quotes from several companies. Doree Bonner is a family business. Claire (who gave the estimate) was very professional and knew what was required. The estimate was less than other companies. The plan was to have two days loading our goods at the end of the week. A trip down the following Monday. Unload into the new home on Tuesday and Wednesday. After the van was packed, we discovered that the occupier had not intention of leaving for another six weeks. Panic. Doree Bonner were excellent and agreed to store our belongings in their secure warehouse, at a reasonable cost. Our passports were packed, and we needed them for a trip overseas. Doree Bonner search through the boxes and found them for us. (Thank guys) The move-in caused a problem with a weight restriction on our drive, but, that they arranged a lighter lorry for the final leg. The "lifters" were a great team. Very polite, very easy to work with. The "move-in-men" worked a 10 hour shift to unload, and were extremely helpful in placing everything where it was wanted. There were a few dings - a bin and an expensive lamp was damaged. Our two e-bikes should have been treated with more care, and mine needed a specialist repair. However, our complaint was dealt with amicably one we were content with the outcome. I've moved several times, and had experiences with different companies. Some very good, some awful, but, Doree Bonner were great, I would use them again, and am happy to recommend them.
Booked Doree Bonner for removals as they were competitively priced. 3 removal men arrived right on time on moving day and cleared out our 4 bed house and garage extremely efficiently. Staff were friendly and professional and asked where we would like all furniture and boxes in the new house which made unpacking much easier. They also disassembled larger furniture and put back together in new house. The whole move was completed by early afternoon with no problems whatsoever. I also found office staff very helpful and friendly when I spoke to them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Doree Bonner.
Our recent move using Doree Bonner was the sixth time in thirteen years and one of those moves was an international move to Canada and again returning from Canada. Without reservation we can say that each move was handled very professionally and with the greatest care of our furniture and personal items. The staff, (both office staff and the moving crews), are so friendly and courteous and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone needing a removals company.
Third time I've used Doree Bonner & again this company did not disappoint! Everyone for Claire in the initial meeting to communication with Andy & Steven has been clear & concise. I opted for the full packing & moving service & I'm do glad I did, the boys were with us from Tuesday through to the Saturday, packing, loading, moving, taking apart beds & furniture then reassembling them in the new house! Special mention to Big Jim & Wee Maxy, you boys were brilliant! If you're moving & you want an efficient, thoroughly seamless & friendly service, Free Bonner are the company you should contact, I would certainly use them again! Thanks for everything!
