My last year at college was amazing but i cant say that this year (starting from September) has been the same. the college was extremely unprepared not expecting a lot of people to apply for this year and did not put a limit on the courses leaving all of them to be over subscribed for. my class had over 40 people in it on induction day when there's only supposed to be 15-20. Half of the teachers from last year had left due to behavior issues and the new teachers had no idea what they were doing. I was supposed to switch to another course because they give you a month to decide whether you want to stay or go and i had decided to move since the course wasn't the right fit for me. i nearly waited a month for them to finally tell me i could move after they had told me i did not have the grades to move to a level 2 course and told me to do the level 1 before trying the level 2. i had already completed the level 1 though but they refused to get back to me when i called out their mistake until it had been two weeks. I ended up falling extremely behind and teachers refused to get back to me on work i needed to catch up with even after multiple times trying to contact them. Not only that they had completely forgot to register me on the day i did one of my maths exams and explained to me i had to redo my english and maths since they could not find proof of me passing when i have the certificates to prove i passed english. they told me that i had not completed any of the maths exams i would not be able to attend without doing english and maths again which made no sense to me on how it was my fault. The only teachers there who i believe truly has the best teaching abilities are Robert Hastings and Aspen Bloomfield-Nott. They truly are amazing teachers.

The worst admin support ever. They kept you dragging until now to tell you the places were full since April and with "sorry" they think they can fix a 16years old person's year that he is risking to be out of college and school. Absolutely disgusting

Helped me develop my skills over 3 years, missed a lot of secondary school and got me to a level of education where I have now graduated university and am now studying my masters. Maths was a bit of a joke as multiple teachers were replaced and lockdown did affect education. Overall teaching is good. Most of these reviews are based on the students that come from different backgrounds, this doesnβt represent the quality of teaching.

Waited all summer heard nothing from the college. I chased them, was informed a letter would be sent out for enrolment. Letter received and a week and half before enrolment was due. Two dates were provided with short time windows for a 15 minute interview. The extremely unhelpful team, would allow me to enrol in any other method or date or time. Considering Iβm an adult learn and going to pay them directly, the customer service was a disgrace. Do not waste your time with this college. Extremely disappointed.

There is so many problems with Chelmsford College I don't even know where to start. Firstly their is not an adequate amount of teachers to do their jobs which results in us, the students who should be taught the topics, teaching it ourselves. Secondly, the food is dreadful as their is not many varying options available to the students for instance their isn't any vegan options or wheat free or nut free options or quorn options available.

I have attended this college for one full year, the first year was not terrible however it could be improved significantly. The reason I rate this college so low is because the second year has been an utter disgrace. we haven't had any consistent teachers other then our main one who is split between 2 classes, the teachers we do get as a replacement. bar a few teachers we've had that were able to teach us the subject, the teachers we do have, are unskilled to teach this course. I would not recommend this college, there are many other alternatives in the local area.

Chelmsford college is full of agency staff who don't know what they're doing, I don't recommend this college to anyone who cares about their future

Management is terrible, classes often do not have teachers and over half of the current staff are agency teachers who do not know what is being taught. I would rate this one star however it will get deleted, I would not recommend this college to my worst enemy.

would do 1 star if i could but notice there is a pattern that it gets deleted if u do. Honestly donβt send your kids here. college is meant to be a safe environment, but this college has failed to grasp the concept of that as of late and would rather punish kids for sticking up for themselves than addressing the real bullies they accept into the premises. I reccomend the other college in chelmsford if your looking into this area because the current flaws in their system is shocking.
