Gosh they simply don't make schools like this anymore! When I think back to my days of St John's primary and senior and dear Mr and Mrs Tardios, I am filled with deep gratitude. This was an education of heart and mind. Instilling creativity, morales, the ability to think out of the box, exiting one's comfort zones, genuine care, values and roundedness of education. Heartfelt thanks for lighting the way for so many young minds - it certainly was architecture of my soul.
Our child had a brilliant experience at this school. It was the most diverse school, with people of all races being equally welcome. Good traditional education, good discipline, no bullying. Teachers were caring, in particular English teacher Mrs R and maths teachers Mr A and Mr G.
Standard of teaching good, however too much pressure put on the students. Good moral stance against bullying, but no actual action taken against it. Also... not teaching Spanish because “you only need that if you want to become a cleaner” is not quite accurate.
From my point of view, this is one of the best school in the UK. From behaviour to studies, it is appealing in every form.
