Our kiddo attended FlyingStarts for over two years (and just left to start school!). They have been integral to the positive, healthy development of our wee guy. The serious stuff: This place is hot on safeguarding, providing necessary structure, healthy meals, and professionalism to the end. In short, I felt my son was safe, well fed, and focused on at all times. Jodie is an exceptional manager who runs a tight ship and the team is all the better for it. The soulful stuff: This team are outstanding. Any good nursery teacher is going to show warmth, compassion, concern and care to a child, but there is genuine affection and engagement from these guys. There are a number of staff who are still there from when we first joined, which meant a lot of tears on departure from all of us. As is often the way, it's the little things that make the impact. Here are some of those little things from our experience: Keeping in mind different cultures and honouring/celebrating important moments. Tweaking a child's experience because they're interested in something and are curious to explore it more. Off the cuff/impromptu free play and changes to the day plan: my son's aunty was getting married a few months ago and the whole nursery decided to recreate a wedding ceremony with all staff and children involved. (We're talking rings, bouquets, invites, a toilet paper wedding dress and a vicar). Lots of walks and muddy play. Quick replies to emails and questions we had, the whole time we were there Digital play, but restricted. Parent evenings and tailored development plans. Meaningful child-centred events: parties, discos, pyjama days, pool parties, a graduation ceremony! And an excellent collective memory: We got a text the day before school that was written to the children, not us, to wish them luck and to get a good sleep (this was coupled with a graduation pack with "sleep well magic glitter" that we received a few weeks ago). This type of intentionality occurred a lot over the past couple of years. As I said, exceptional and all delivered with genuine care and affection. Thank you so very much to everyone. We're so glad we changed our nursery plan last minute and decided to enrol our son with you guys.

Can't rate this nursery and the staff there highly enough! The ladies are second to none! (Particularly those in the pre school room) They provide a safe, fun, stimulating environment for the children to learn and really take the time to get to know your child and their likes/dislikes and individual wants/needs. The communication from the ladies about your child's day/development etc is always fantastic too! The meals they provide are excellent, well balanced, healthy, varied and (according to my son) delicious. The staff go out of their way to find new information, resources, topics and themes to get the most out of each child and my son came on leaps and bounds while attending this nursery! It is obvious that the ladies really do enjoy their jobs and care for each child and build a very good relationship with each child and the parents too. I can not recommend a better early years setting than this one! Absolutely outstanding!
